Exploration du Centre de la Terre

Après un terrible séisme, une brèche c’est ouverte à la surface offrant une porte d’entrée vers le centre de la terre. vous faites parti de la première expédition vers le centre de la terre, mais vous n’êtes absolument pas préparé à ce que vous allez y découvrir.

Un défi que j'ai particulièrement aime de fait du sujet porteur d'idées! Il y a des défauts, mais je pense en faire une pièce plus construite!

Nouvelle pièce pour les concours Noctaventures, le sujet que j'ai donné, en rapport avec "Alice au pays des merveilles" était le suivant : 

« Vous êtes invité à prendre un thé sans fin chez le chapelier fou. En compagnie de ce dernier, du lièvre de mars et du loir narcoleptique, vous prenez des nouvelles du pays de merveilles et du monde du miroir. Alice est absente, bien entendu, et le lapin blanc, cherchant toujours sa chère Marie-Anne, créé le scandale en débarquant pendant la réunion. 
Avec lui la Reine de Cœur, son roi et son armée de cartes sont venus pour la mettre aux arrêts en vue du procès. Rien n’a de sens!! Ils vous prennent pour Alice/Marie-Anne et tentent de vous mettre aux fers!
Assumez-vous la méprise en tentant d’expliquer à la Reine qu’il y a erreur sachant qu’elle à le couperet facile?
Tentez vous de vous enfuir, conseillé par le sarcastique Chat du Cheshire, en empruntant l’une des innombrables de portes déformées qu’il y a autour de la tablée sans savoir où vous atterrirez?  A vous de choisir!»

Abandoning The Weak

Hi everybody, 
here are two tracks from the new video game soundtrack I'm actually working on.
About the game : 
it is a mod to Half Life 2 Episode 2 titled "Of Blood and Water"
The mod surrounds the events at the A.G. Foundation Research Station in Antarctic, inspired by the real life Palmer Station, the Source mod Black Snow and Resident Evil remake, this mod will be mostly non combat with emphasis on believable environments, factual where possible, gut twisting internal areas and a slow burning story.

Voici deux pièces issues de la nouvelle bande son de jeu vidéo dont je m'occupe actuellement.
Concernant ce jeu, il s'agit d'un mod pour Half Life 2 Episode 2 intitulé "Of Blood and Water".
Le mod tourne autour des evenements qui ont eu lieu à la station de recherche "A.G. Foundation" située en Antarctique. Directement inspiré par la station Palmer, du mod Black Snow pour Source et des remakes de Resident Evil(les jeux... Pas les films... Mais ai-je besoin de préciser...?), ce mod s'appuiera en grande partie sur des environnements réalistes, des phases d'explorations, des zones d'interieurs pesantes, effrayantes, le tout pour conter une histoire forte.

Through the Silent Halls

Hi everyone!
After working on the two previous Final Fantasy arrangements, people asked me a lot about getting the scores of my works. So I decided to create a full album with Final Fantasy Arrangements the would come along a songbook edited by.... My editor! At least, I hope so!
(For now, only piano but maybe I'll give a chance on a few guitar tracks as it is my main instrument.)

Well, this time, I decided to work on one of my favourite tracks from Final Fantasy XI Online. "Memoro de la stono", the video game version, not the "Distant Worlds" one! And here's a little snippet about how things are coming!

Going deeper and deeper inside it leads you to an old, lost and fabulous temple.
Everything you find here has been left by some ancient civilisation : Writtings, drawings on the walls, sculptures etc...
Speachless, you do nothing more than contemplating and try to understand the complex enigmas written on every stone.

Heir Of Dracul

Hi everyone!
Here's a track from my upcoming project which will talk about my last trip in Canada. 
In this one, I tried to tell a story my girlfriend told me she lived when we decided to follow two different pathes. 
In fact, we met in Montreal and a few days later, we started to hike together, to reach Quebec, Tadoussac, Rimouski and finally St Anne des Monts. The thing is that I had personal things to accomplish on my own on the other side of Canada, heading to Banff, in the Rockies and so did she but she was heading to Gaspé.

This particular day, when she was waiting for her bus, alone, feeling sad and lonely after a few weeks traveling together, she was remembering all we did when she was interrupted by a little mice which stood with her for a few minutes.

Funny situation, funny enough to inspire me that song.
Hope you'll enjoy it as much as I enjoyed to compose and dedicate it to my other half.

A Mice and a Bus Stop

Hi people!
Here is a short piece written for symphonic orchestra.
I tried to work on the global Heracles/Hercules myth. Like a prelude to a full symphony(That I don't plan to write in a near future... maybe later)
The aim of this track was to work on the "humanisation" of the music with Cubase, East West QL Symphonic Orchestra/Choirs, VSL SE Vol1 and my brand new Virtual Sound Stage... Which is just stunning!(I used it with Waves IR-1 Convolution Reverb for the final mix, to put everything together).

Well, I hope you'll enjoy it, don't hesitate to give any feedback, I still need to learn on how to program everything efficiently!

The Core Of A Myth

Hi everyone!
Here's my first attempt in orchestrating final fantasy music so here is "The Mystic Forest"/"The Phantom Forest" from Final Fantasy VI(or III for the US) written by Nobuo Uematsu and rearranged by myself.
The idea behind this orchestral arrangement is to use what I've been studying these last few weeks about woodwinds and brass(which is a very interesting matter).
This is just a short snippet and I have to work a lot on the mix and the humanisation but the full track should be online in a few days(maybe a bit more as I can't work every day).

Nobuo Uematsu's The Mystic Forest(Final Fantasy VI Orchestral Snippet)

Hi everyone,
here's a new version of a track I composed last year.
It was supposed to be the main theme for an indie half life 2 mod.
The game creation was stopped and will never be released.
So I decided to use this short composition for the music itself. I added a last chord at the end and remixed it.

Liberti Fatali(Final Fantasy VIII)

Hi folks!
Here's the first of five finished tracks I composed for an upcoming RPG video game influenced by the cyberpunk universe named Man Made and developped by VIGA Manufacture.

This one is the main theme for the game.
This is quite far from what I usually compose in sense that I had to work with synths and it gave me lots of fun........ And lots of hard times to understand exactly how it works! Loved to learn all that stuff!!

For this one I used Arturia MiniV, Modular V and NI Massive for the synths, Toontrack SD2 with the Metal Foundry library for the drumkit.

I worked pretty hard on this on, I hope you'll enjoy it as I had fun making it!

Crafted By Human Hands(Manmade Main Theme)

Here's the main battle theme for the Man Made project.

I decided to go more like... Prog metal mixed by some 70's influences!

For this one, I kept using some Arturia products(MiniV and ModularV), Toontracks SD2 with Metal Foundry. I also wanted some old fashioned sounds for the bass so I used the slap bass from East West Goliath and used it as I would have in the late 80's/early 90's... As a keyboard thought instrument, not as a real bass.
I also had fun working for the first time with an amazing electric guitar vst(When you travel, you can't go with all your stuff....), anyway, I gave a try with Prominy's V-Metal vst and to be honest, I've been absolutely amazed by what I heard! I amped this one with the Amplitube Mesa/Boogie(I used te MarkIV amp), also one of the best virtual amp I worked on... Especially after working on a real Mesa Boogie MarkV for like 5 years!
To end with this, I added(at least tried to) some real 70'sish vibe with the ORGANized Trio by GSI. I just love that hammond vst!!

Anyway, as always, I had tons of fun working on this one and I hope you'll enjoy it!

Crushing Enemies(Man Made Battle Theme)

Hello everyone!
Here's a new mix of a track I posted last year, Gershwin's Summertime!
I wasn't completely satisfied by the solo trumpet I used before, neither by the drums. Should I notice the mix? Nah... Wasn't that good either...

Well as I got the vsti Broadway Lites recently and that I had a new jazzy drumkit, I told myself that it was time to work again on the mix!

I think this one is better than the old one!

Here's my first serious try at recreating a track I know by heart with midi and virtual instruments from the beginning to the very end!

So this time it's Jerry Goldsmith's "Hypersleep" from the Alien score. The original one, not the alternative version used in the movie. I did my best to get this one to sound close to the original!

I took around a week as I couldn't work on it continuously but way less in term of pure work.

It was a good way to test drive Kirk Hunter's Concert Strings Legacy!
