I wrote this about a year and a half ago. I had the music more or less figured out in my head but didn't get the lyrics until I was out driving around in the country with my wife up near our cottage. It's just about the good times we've all either had or wish we had. I play everything on it. My wife, Laurie also sings in the crowd choir in the choruses. The organ was done on my Triton Pro X, slide guitar on my old Epiphone, straight acoustic was my wife's Simon and Patrick. Bass was done on my daughter's short scale Ibanez. All mics ran though the Behringer tube preamp..


Motherlode

I've been listening to a lot of Gong and Ozric Tentacles lately and decided to try and write something in that style. Spacey, trippy rock. I think I got close. You should check those bands out. Drums are my Cubase kit, bass is my Ibanez 5 string, Fender Squire silver Strat, Korg Kronos and King Korg synths. Organ is Korg Kronos. Hope you like it! Gas Clouds Of Uranus

This IS a Rock song! Somewhat 80s style. It's about the days when we were all buff, fit, had hair halfway down to our butts and were hung! 
Hung like field mice! Partying until the sun came up. I played and sand everything. Hope it rocks your world and makes you feel young again. Unless of course you are under the age of 30.

Late Night Whisky

It's just another rock song about love. I know, I know. Heard one, ya heard 'em all. There are a lot of tracks in this one. 5 guitar tracks and 9 or 10 vocal tracks. Keyboards are all from my Korg Kronos. I used my Epiphone acoustic tuned down a full step. 
Hope you like it! I had a ton of fun doing this one although it took a month just to get lyric ideas.

I See It In Your Eyes

I was thinking about people the other day and this idea popped into my head. Ever wonder how some people actually get through the day? I do.
Bass synth is my Moog Grandmother. The rest are my trusty trio of Korgs. My Kronos does the bulk of the work but my old Wavestation EX is in there with some bell-like tones as well as my KingKorg doing sweeping noises. On the left is my Fender Squire Cabronita Telecaster and on the right is my Epiphone Studio Dot. Bass is my ibanez 5 string and drums as usual are just
finger played on a pad using stock Cubase drum sounds. I used my newest microphone for all my vocals. A Lewett LCT 240 Pro.

Nebulous Wonder

We moved out of the city just over a year ago and couldn't be happier. So I wrote a country rock song. That's me playing everything. My Mexi Strat, My Epipone Studio Dot, My 5 string Ibanez bass, my inexpensive Martin acoustic, Korg Kronos piano and organ, Cubase Drum sounds and me singing. The revving engine is a free sample. I'm on a roll finishing songs that I started a while ago. This is a love song of sorts. Everything, as usual is done or sang by me. I pretty happy with my organ solo. Playing and sound wise. It's not crazy but it works. 3 guitars in there. My Martin acoustic, my Black Epiphone and my Blue Stratocaster. The organ its a tweaked program on my Korg kronos.

Celestial Orbs

This is an old track from 1984 that I wrote. Sue Palmer sang the lead vocal, Norm Hacker on Bass, Rick Britton on guitar and Rod Blacker on drums. I'm playing my old Korg Polysix. Arranged by the band. My riff and lyrics though. Recorded at Orchard Sound on a 16 track reel to reel. Can't remember who all was on the back up vocals. Dave Ferry was the engineer. Hope you like it! This was taken from an old cassette tape. One of the last copies around. Hence the noise at the beginning. Later on I'm going to fix that and hopefully restore some fidelity.

Starved For Love

This is a work in progress so I'll be changing it as I go along. The vocals are far from finished and I'm not really sure that I like the lyrics so expect them to change a lot. Probably the melody will too.
Well this is version 2 and there may or may not be more changes. And here now is version 3 with the Mellotron strings brought down and a bit of automation subtly add to them. Think we're done here!
