The 39th release on microCastle welcomes Andre Sobota back to the label for his third EP in the last four years. The Brazilian producer has continued to impress since his hugely successful 'Surrounded By Time' EP from the summer of 2012. Andre's unique melodic sound has been enchanting electronic music fans ever since and he continues to be a favourite of Above and Beyond, Sasha, Hernan Cattaneo, Eric Prydz and Pete Tong. Andre's new EP for microCastle is entitled 'Triangles' and includes 3 brand new original productions alongside remixes from: Robert Babicz, Microtrauma and James Teej.

The EP begins with the title cut 'Triangles' which would have to be one of Andre's standout melodic compositions to date. Led by some of this year's most sun drenched harmonies along with a dynamic groove and ethereal sonics it's sure to be a standout for the summer season. The lone remix of 'Triangles' is provided by Robert Babicz who is making his first appearance on microCastle. The Polish born Germany based producer has been one of the most influential artists over the course of his long and storied career in electronic music. Robert’s discography is full of impeccably produced classics like ‘Dark Flower’ and ‘Remote Kiss’ along with many others which all stand the test of time remarkable well. He’s updated some of electronic music’s most revered classic’s like Hardfloor ‘Acperience 1′ and Cybordelics ‘Adventures of Dama’ which both appeared on Harthouse over 20 years ago. More recently Robert has several stellar productions released courtesy of John Digweed's Bedrock records and his own Babiczstyle imprint. For his 'Triangles' interpretation Robert has transformed Andre's smooth and serene original into a funky, tech house bomb. The main motifs have been conveyed in a more subversive way and the end result is a groovy melodic cut that's perfect for your summer dance floors.

The second original 'Morning Lust' sees Andre with another unique progressive techno production. Irresistible hooks, a grinding groove and haunting motifs all wrapped in a lo-fi approach make for another standout melodic production. The lone interpretation of 'Morning Lust' is provided by Microtrauma who are returning to microCastle for their second appearance. The German duo who are renowned for their detailed sound first appeared on the Canadian behemoth in April of 2012 with a remix of Cid Inc & Lank's 'Emotional Self'. Subsequent appearances on Herzblut Recordings, Sudbeat and Traum have highlighted the duos discography in recent years and they've turned in a cutting edge interpretation of 'Morning Lust' here. Microtrauma has stripped the track down into a lean and exhilarating melodic techno construction. The duos fluid energy is renowned and once again on point here with waves of sonic details firing through the mix. A chain of feedback thematics during the main break proves to be a highlight and gives the track an even more distinct sonic aesthetic.

Henry Saiz & Band recently revealed plans for their ambitious Kickstarter-funded album Human and a first taste in the form of stunning debut single The Golden Cage. Hot on its heels comes the spectacular indie dance stunner Ghosts, with a host of stellar remixes.
Sonically, it´s a slinky slab of melancholic discofied electronica, chugging with its laconic yet funk-driven groove and sumptuous 80s guitar licks. The glorious vocal is layered up beautifully, with glitchy edits giving it a futuristic feel at key moments, and the progression of emotion from the verse to the choruses is nothing short of stunning. A blissed-out half-time breakdown lays on icy, gated synth chords and spacious reverbs, before the infectious chorus groove kicks back into life. You can hear this one soundtracking an epic film or powerful TV series moment, so laden it is with bittersweet emotion, drama and power. Channeling the best of 80s synth pop into contemporary production, Henry Saiz & Band and their vocal collaborator have cooked up something really stunning here. 
Transhuman Club Version draws the original out into a brooding 9-minute-long techno opus, at first pitching the vocals down before they rise up, giving the effect of a male/female duet. Stuttering, distorted chords rise from the deep beat with delicate arpeggios, the track slowly swelling to an intensity before restraining itself. Its a subtle, classy rework perfect for those build moments in deeper sets. It should be noted that its this style that Henry Saiz & Band will be playing in their live shows, combining the most powerful elements of their originals with a tougher electronic backbone perfect for festivals, arenas and concert halls.
Aux The Masterfader´s Street Dance Mix ups the 80s factor, incorporating a boogie/electro flavour with its plump bass and pumping drum machines. Very much in the early Madonna vein, it provides an uncluttered arrangement that really lets the vocal shine in all its glory.

On Colorscapes Volume One, Matt Fax and Dezza bring together established Colorize names like PRAANA, Andre Sobota, Anden, Sound Quelle, Boxer, Hexlogic and Milkwish with exciting label newcomers like Pete K, Murtagh, Rylan Taggart, farfetch'd, Andromedha and Tripswitch. Matt Fax brings two electrifying remixes to the compilation with 2005 techno sensation 'Rej' by German act Âme and British DJ/Producer D.O.D.'s 2018 house hit 'Glow' getting reworked in remarkable fashion. The mixes build and swell organically with both DJs flexing their talents effortlessly, creating two exhilarating mixes that will take you on a voyage into the deep and progressive.

With Matt Fax and Dezza reaching new heights as artists and becoming concrete names in the world of Progressive House, this compilation comes at an exciting time for Colorize. Since his first release on the label in 2013, Matt Fax has seen immense growth as a producer through releasing impressive, genre-expanding singles and his debut artist album Contrast in 2017, and as a DJ having played a run of shows from Europe to Asia in 2019 as well as the Progressive Stage at Electronic Family in the Netherlands. Canadian DJ/Producer Dezza has also had a whirlwind of a year, releasing his debut artist album Cosmos, a tour of Australia, ASOT900 and then playing at the Budlight Dreams festival in Toronto in June. The two artists also headlined a sold-out show at London's Oval Space in July for the first Colorize event.

Colorscapes Volume One will be supported by a launch party at London's renowned venue Egg on the 22nd of September which will see Matt Fax and Dezza headline with support from Amy Wiles, Boxer, Sound Quelle and Steve Brian pres. Cabriolet Paris. An official label event will also be held in October during Amsterdam Dance Event, followed by a North American co-headline tour from Matt Fax and Dezza that will feature other prominent Colorize artists.
