Day two. Another made in a few hours. Which means lots of things left undone or unfinished. But a GREAT exercise and a ton of fun.

Robots need to train? Or... maybe it's the person in the robot who needs to train? But if you're in a robot, why not just let the robot do all the work?

Had kind of a tech meltdown myself while trying to write this. So I got less time than I hoped for. Just tried to work with the time I had, and I'm not entirely sad about the results.

Final day of the #7DaysOfVGM Composition Challenge from the Video Game Music Academy!

When the prompts were released earlier, I swore the final day was going to be end credits. But the email prompt from this morning actually said final battle. I pretty much already wrote the end of the game for Day 6, so I decided to make this the end credits version of a big battle scene. It gets a little more pop and dancey and fun than maybe the actual battle would. A little party after the tough fight.

This is the full soundtrack for The Lamp Project’s video, "Spotlight on artist Alexandra Cantle" (2013), a tiny mini-documentary introducing a fantastic dyslexic artist and her work with words. Edited and directed by Patrick Clark. Shot by Dalton Gaudin. Produced by Amanda Katz. Music composed and programmed by Jeremy Scott Olsen. The director had temp music he wanted to emulate the mood and feel of, so of course this piece was heavily inspired by that temp music.

Day 7, last day! The theme of the #7daysofvgm Composition Challenge by VGM Academy this month is time travel, and this final day was "the future."

I'm not personally as pessimistic about the future as this track might suggest. 😆 But I suppose a video game with this soundtrack would probably be... a bit dark.

He recently scored the feature film, "Boris and the Bomb" and has scored several short films and webisodes.

His recording, editing, and mixing work can be heard on four features, numerous shorts, and nearly 200 episodes of television.

He has recorded musical performances by Justin Timberlake, Weird Al, Kanye West, Fergy, Daryl Hall, Frank Sinatra Jr., and Darren Criss, and voice acting performances by Seth MacFarlane, Whoopi Goldberg, Neil DeGrasse Tyson, Bryan Cranston, Matt Kemp, Mariah Carey, Ed Asner, will.i.am, Adam West, Jane Lynch, Mickey Rooney, Carl Reiner, Nicki Minaj, Flea, Carrie Fisher, Rush Limbaugh, Kristen Schaal, and so many more.

And he has played in the Los Angeles Laker Band, performed live with The Rescues and with Fleetwood Mac, been a high school band director, and taught private drum set lessons.
