While pulling the strings behind two of Germany's highest-rated and most groundbreaking musical novelties, there was indeed little time remaining to take care of his very own career. Yet, the ones who witnessed an Okaxy show can attest it's irrestible, drawing power on the crowd. We feel very sunshiny about the fact, that despite his plural responsibilities he still had the capacity to provide this current snapshot of his taste in music. It's time now to lean back and revel in this sonic goodliness..

Okaxy im Tal - #038

The dance scene in Istanbul might not be one of the most talked about in the world, but whenever it is mentioned it’s impossible not to talk about Zozo. She is a left of centre DJ who was previously in charge of the musical direction of Hush, a gallery and bar on the Anatolian side of Istanbul, and nowadays she plays cult clubs like De School and Salon des Amateurs. She has also put out key cassettes like ‘Witchez of Anatolia’ on Sameheads, as well as being part of the famous curveball label Macadam Mambo. Reaching for curious sounds from her homeland as well as new wave, disco, synth pop, house and acid, a Zozo set of "oriental crime" is as magical as it is mysterious.

And her mix for us is no different. In her own words, "frogs, communication, Russians, aliens, nature, wizards, friends, psychedelia, technology, joy, fear, love, human beings, publicity, toxic world and internet" are all sources of inspiration here and it shows. Her 75 minute set is wholly intoxicating, with synthetic sounds and real world samples, languid grooves and drunken rhythm all slowly unfolding and pulling you into their midst before tripping you out. It's weird and wonderful, and sounds like little else out there right now.

The Belfast native DJ and producer has several releases out on high-profile labels including Feel My Bicep, Sulta Selects Silver Service, and Unknown to the Unknown in addition to appearances at venerated venues like Robert Johnson, Panorama Bar, Fabric, The Warehouse Project and plenty more. In lockdown he’s focused his energies on his next move: launching his own label at the end of summer. He’s already got the first few releases ready to roll and has included a little teaser of the debut track in this mix.

Recorded at an intimate afters Cromby doubles back and jacks it up a notch or two to recreate the party vibe we’re all missing so much. Versatility is key with Cromby as he fuses chonky rollers, stompers, whippets, and dance floor bombs for maximum effect.

She always brings a smile, sharing the warmth of her heart with everyone in her surrounding. While she has travalled far and performed shows for many, what she loves most is to be united with her close ones and play a soundtrack to the ones dear to her. Over the years, Alma Linda (@alma_linda) has helped many arising artists taking their first steps, encouraging them to pursue their very own artistic path.. and through that, she encouraged herself to stay on hers. As we have shared many hours of joy with her, we are now delighted to share two hours of joy to you.. Enjoy!
