After the great show with Pedro at our event in Cologne 2019, we were sure to work out a release with him.

The Belgian producer duo Pedro Mercado & Karada created two nice Melodic Techno tracks for our label, in addition strong Remixes were made by Rauschhaus and Catom.

The release was supposed to come out, then the pandemic started and everything closed. We decided to wait with the release until the club life would start again. So it's finally time to release it and go further with our label business.

Opening the summer season in style, Phenomena welcomes Elias Erium back to the label for a new EP. With the March release of ‘Harvester’, the Canadian artist returned in resounding fashion. Picking up on the themes and sounds which established the label, the two-track showcase was a prime example of the Montreal resident’s creative attitude, winning over tastemaker duo Mind Against and ultimately setting the course for the May release of ‘The Grove’. With projects for long-standing ethereal imprint Steyoyoke and Eleatics subsidiary Aletheia Recordings already in the books for 2022, Elias now returns to his comfortable home of ‘Phenomena’ with a two-track showcase entitled ‘Sleepwalking’. 

Beginning the title selection, Elias explores haunted minimalism and disparate motifs over militant beats and machine gun rhythms. A commanding dance floor presence is furthered by alien-like bleeps and panoramic arps, while percussive rides and flurries of effects transfer energy into the main break. Building tension across the near two-minute centrepiece, a dystopian style ecstasy is evoked, as emerging modulation and esoteric chord changes collapse under their own gravity, giving way to horn-like drones for a prophetic finale.

The companion piece ‘Taking You Back’ rounds out the release with a confident club energy. Elias’ penchant for dance floor dynamics is revealed through dark rebounding rhythms, phasing noise and quirky electronics, all cleverly programmed over a funked up, hip swinging groove. Snatches of ghostly vocals highlight the main break, bringing icy refrains and elastic-like arps along for the ride, eventually revealing a colourful vortex and commanding groove-centric conclusion. With the ‘Sleepwalking’ EP Elias carefully balances a timeless techno inspired mentality with futuristic technical vision, resulting in a two-track showcase that arrives just in time for the summer festival season.

'Anicée is an international french Djane from Marseille.

In 2016, she started as a resident Dj at 'Maya Beach Club' in Ibiza (Spain). Afterwards, she decided to keep playing her dedicated music in Thaïland where she became the resident Dj at 'Catch Beach Club' and the 'HQ Beach Club' located on Phuket island.

Over the years, Anicée has been performing all over Thaïland and been recognised as a top-notch Djane, so she could play several times in different famous underground clubs in Bangkok, the Asian city of angels (Mustache, Club 15, Ambar Pool Party...)

In the summer of 2019, Anicée performed for many Pool Parties delivered at 'El Patio' in Ibiza. She has performed several times in Ibiza including Bora Bora, and Tantra but also at the 'Cirque De La Nuit' for the boat party and many Radio Show for 'Radio FG', 'Ibiza Global Radio' and 'Ibiza Live Radio'.

Anicée performed in the following countries: France, Thaïland, Switzerland, Spain and more.

In 2020, Anicée joins the 'Encasa' team to become a resident DJ along with other international DJs producer such as Chicks Luv Us, Blanc, Yungness & Jaminn, Encasa is known for hosting many parties in the south of France (Baby Club, Le Cirque, Rooftop R2, Private party...)

In 2021, Anicée will release new tracks in collaboration with world-famous singers such as the English legend Rowetta, the legendary singer Robert Owens as well as the American singer Ida fLO.
2021 will also be the year of collaborations with artists such as The Deepshakerz (Safe, Defected, Toolroom...), Alvaro Smart (Defected, Relief...), and many more...

Fellow Italian duo and label habitués Moonwalk are back on Stil vor Talent with a two-track revenge of an EP, "Dune", right on cue for late summer festival action. Walking in the footsteps of their latest release on the label, "Different People", Dario Vizioli and Mauro Morabito turn up with a pair of cuts built for a mix of big-room rumble and spaced-out escapism, ready to sweep over the dancefloor with an all-engulfing deluge of cosmic brainwaves and Italo-influenced glissandos that keep on cranking the heat up a notch with every bar.  

Charging first, the electrifying title-track "Dune" flings us into orbit through a compelling train-like crescendo primed for large arenas and peak-time momentums. Synth-fuelled poetics blazing and entangling along powerhouse bass leads, the track cavalcades straight onto otherworldly horizons, fierce and burning with an untamed fire. Presenting their first ever collaborative project, Elias Erium and Monarke land on Phenomena with ‘Transcend’. Canadian artist and Phenomena label boss Elias Erium has enjoyed a triumphant return this year. Projects for Eleatics subsidiary Aletheia Recordings and long-standing Berlin imprint Steyoyoke set the stage for three well-received Phenomena EPs, with tastemaker favorites John Digweed, Mind Against and more being steadfast supporters along the way. Meanwhile, fellow Canadian artist Monarke has also had a remarkable year. A contribution to Atlant’s popular Voyager III collection was preceded by a string of releases for Steyoyoke, along with remix projects for Opengate Society and Us & Them. Now pairing for the first time, Eilas and Monarke combine their extensive forces on the much anticipated ‘Transcend’. 

Pitched somewhere comfortably between shadowy monochromes and wintry hinterlands, its warm machine gun style groove and flickering percussive arrangements marry perfectly with percolating effects and prophetic arps. Coming to full fruition during the second act, the duo’s creative attitude is on full display, as striking chord stabs emerge, conjuring up prophetic imagery, while remaining undeniably infectious against a backdrop of shapeshifting textures and balmy overlays, onwards to a spirited finale. Equally at home above a festival skyline or sitting in the sweet spot of a main room set, its deeper design and thought-provoking atmospherics provide a much-needed dance floor curveball for the more adventurous selectors out there.

Elias Erium & Monarke - Transcend (Original Mix)

Already the 16th instalment of the Wild Cards compilation makes its entrance. Brooding, dark and melodic, this new edition has something for all ears.

Tell Me is a melodic affair by Be Saint and Joathekid. Ethereal pianos make their way into this realm with a vocal party that is ready to pierce its way through your speakers.

Aurin comes with Awakening, a sonic composition cleaving its way through the sound spectrum.

MANTi brings Twisted Sensation, a melodic stronghold giving us a glimpse of more to come from this one.

Galø takes us to Atlantis with a dark groover with Pursuit written all over it.

Eclept and Josanu close this one off with Astalavista: echoing pianos and toms bring us Mediterranean vibes ready for those late summer nights.

'Cid Inc’s Replug Records welcomes Nopi back to the label for his first solo project. Ukrainian artist Nopi brings a surreal beauty to his innovative brand of electronic composition.  Continuing to tread the waters between progressive and organic house, Nopi leans closer to the former on first track ‘Nature In The Mountains After Mushrooms’. A dizzying dance floor slam powered by potent kick drums and hyperspace effects. Rather than burst into a whirlwind or electronic symphony, Nopi delivers tension through slow burn repetition, dodging expectations and emphasizing his conceptual charm, painting bucolic scenes of solitude, as hypnagogic effects unveil a semi-conscious dreamland, before the Ukrainian’s creative attitude reveals itself during an interlude of colourful synth swagger and mesmerizing progression. 

 Beneath the powerful tidal waves of 'Nature In The Mountains After Mushrooms' lies the spellbinding realities of 'Mistake Forest’. Packed to the hilt with drama and emotion, its adventurous spirit is something Nopi relishes in, as he flexes a trance-inducing side of his studio repertoire. A genuine exchange of melody and texture provide the narrative, where themes of introspection and hope get translated by fuzzed out vocal fragments, thought-provoking musicality and machine-gun style grooves. 

 Continuing on a similar monochrome are the nostalgic qualities of the collection’s final selection 'Capadocia’. Profoundly idyllic, it's a composition that further cements Nopi's elusive vision, as its buoyant beginnings morph into a meditative, consciousness-expanding conversion of musical ideas. Dark rebounding rhythms and rolling basslines set the course for rustic hooks, prismatic effects and metallic arps, which ultimately puts a stamp on this thematic collection from one of progressive music’s rising mavericks.'
