Live recording from the second installment of NIGHT BASS on February 27th at Sound Nightclub with AC Slater (Trouble & Bass, Party Like Us), Taiki and Nulight (Black Butter Records), Blaise James (OWSLA), Justin Jay (dirtybird), and Bones (Gotta Dance Dirty).

On Thursday, January 30th, we launched NIGHT BASS at Sound Nightclub – a new event series curated by AC Slater and his Brooklyn-based record label Party Like Us. Los Angeles was served up a deep dish of house, club, UK garage, bassline, and 2-step from AC Slater, Christian Martin, Astronomar, Petey Clicks, and Sleazemore. It was such memorable night, we wanted to capture the vibe of NIGHT BASS to share with everyone. And so, in the spirit of the old skool rave "tape packs" of the 90s, we're making these special live sets available each month after NIGHT BASS here on Soundcloud.

Holy Goof - Cast #002

Holy Goof is fast emerging as a true connoisseur of UK bass music. Boasting a high powered sound that is seemingly growing momentum by the minute, the Coventry based producer has constructed his own darkside strain of energetic,  dancefloor cuts dropping three devastating EPs on the likes of Four40 Records and Party Like Us this past year.

So, with what deems to be a prolific 2016 ahead for Holy, we took it upon ourselves to be the first to bring him to London for the very first time next month, where he'll play  in Room Two alongside the likes of DJ Q, Roska and Jason Kaye. Of course, we felt it only right to introduce him to you officially ahead of the show, so we asked him a few probing questions and grabbed a brand new and exclusive promo mix along the way.

Scott Jenkins had an early start to his music career: while his school mates were out playing football after school, he was already deep into producing music under the name Skepsis. For the last few years he’s been putting out a string of well-received productions and remixes, most of which are tied together by a distinct bass-led sound. 

Jenkins is still only 21, but with peer support and appearances on stations like Rinse FM he’s become one of the bassline’s most recognisable artists. As he lands at FABRICLIVE just one week from now, he sent us over a mix in anticipation of his appearance. Spanning the best in unreleased bassline and grime from Jenkins and his contemporaries, it shows exactly why he’s made such a storm recently, and why so many today are locking in to the UK’s thriving bassline sound.
