@jamaicasuk - DJing quintessentially and producing for over a decade, Jamaica has found rising prominence for her unique brand of seamless mixing and driving, psychedelic-meets-gritty techno. Jamaica’s work has always been built on discipline, deep sonic exploration, and a passionate connection to the scene. Hailing from San Francisco and based in Berlin, she quickly became a fixture of the German capital’s scene as well as building a vast network of underground communities across Europe and internationally. She's centered her craft in the studio and behind the decks on the art of contrast - grimy industrial edge with meditative, consciousness-expanding dream worlds with no-holds-barred runaway energy. Jamaica’s voice always finds a timeless balance between the rawness of 90's techno traditions and boundary-pushing modern techniques.

In 2022, Rudiment label released "Life Will Win Over Death," a collective statement against the war in Ukraine. 

It featured notable techno artists such as Dasha Rush, Surgeon, Dimi Angelis, Stanislav Tolkachev, SpeedyJ, Jeroen Search, and more talented musicians. 

In 2023, we're proud to present our next anti-war compilation "HI", featuring a stellar lineup of artists: Oscar Mulero, Blawan, Jonas Kopp, Mike Parker, Sleeparchive, D-Leria, Developer, Conceptual, Steve Bicknell, Yan Cook, Ben Pest, Zadig among others. This release, distributed by Triple Vision in April 2024, will be available in all major online stores. All proceeds from sales of the compilation will directly support the Hospitallers Medical Battalion, a volunteer organization of paramedics working on the frontline in Ukraine.

Merlina DJ/Producer, originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina, has forged an outstanding career in the music scene. Her initial forays into music date back to 2019, when she was involved in the production of events within the realm of underground techno. In 2021, Merlina took a decisive step by starting her career as a DJ and music producer at the prestigious Arjaus academy, located in Buenos Aires. Her commitment to artistic excellence has led her to continue perfecting his art, incorporating different hypnotic sounds and groove rhythms in his productions to date. The year 2022 marked a milestone in his career, as she founded the Ørnament, an event producer and collective of women artists based in Buenos Aires. This project reflects her dedication to promoting the female presence in the local music scene. Merlina has left a significant mark on the Buenos Aires night scene, participating in various booths and appearing in renowned clubs both in the city and in the interior of the country. Her music has also transcended borders, reaching international audiences in Uruguay, Paraguay and Spain. DifferentSound invites Uun (Detroit)

The DifferentSound Podcast #295 welcomes Uun! 
Having been producing and performing since 2010, Uun has been a staple of the techno scene for many years. His mind melting live performance have been featured at many institutions, including Movement Festival in Detroit, Tresor in Berlin, Khidi in Tbilisi, and Basement in NYC. Resident Advisor referred to this ability to work within many different imprints and styles as “quietly infiltrating techno”, and compared his music to the latter days of the Sandwell District. He is perhaps best known as a producer, having released substantial work on some of the most respected underground techno labels, including Mord, Semantica, and Soma. The genre defining record store Hard Wax described Uun's sound as a "straight ahead techno juggernaut." He also has his own label titled Ego Death, where he releases his most genre defying material.

Born & raised in Athens, producer & Dj Jerm is a key player of the Greek Techno scene and Co-founder of Analogue records & CoMA Athens events. 
His sets, driven from his perspective as a raver, are always focused on delivering raw energy to the dance floor and led him through the years to his residencies at clubs like Temple Athens, Astron Bar & Six Dogs, and to guest appearances abroad and at legendary clubs like Tresor Berlin & Rote Sonne (Munich).

As a producer, his sound leans towards the harder side of the 909 spectrum, with direct and unrelenting Techno, moving from hard edged industrial sounds, to jacked up 90s flavoured elements. His releases on Soma, Analogue, Emerald, Renegade Methodz, Blue Hour and HEX reflect the same thundering aesthetic Jerm channels from the DJ booth.
