Nervous Horizon honcho, Wallwork treats us to an hour of NH affiliated heat, mutant dancehall, low slung gqom to percussive workouts. It's full of serious club tackle, focusing on the Nervous Horizon family throughout. 
We also caught up with Tommy for a lil chat, read below! 

AM: Where and how did you record the mix & what was the idea behind it?

I just recorded it in my studio with Ehua's Pioneer decks.  It's a selection of all my favourite tunes from the label family at the moment, especially the new TSVI EP and some new DJ JM. 
Also played some gqom and old classics.

AM: Nervous Horizon is easy one of our favourite labels, tell us a little bit about it & how did it start? 

It started in Bow when I moved into TSVI & Federico's (co-owner) flat. We wanted to make a label that would bridge all genres from kuduru to techno , from club to dancehall. 
Soon after we moved into a huge warehouse in Hackney Wick and set up a studio. After 5 years of pressing records and warehouse parties things are finally starting to come together and the label is getting the recognition it deserves.


AM: What have you been listening to recently and what’s grabbing your attention at the mo? 

I've been listening to a lot of slow bpm stuff in the club world, Amapiano, a lot of drill and also a lot of R&B, Rap and Indie stuff from up and coming artists.

AM: Apart from heading up NH, what else fills your time?

Apart from running NH, I'm also a full time producer and mixing engineer for up and coming and established artists in London from all genres.
Hopefully you'll hear a lot of the stuff I've worked on in 2020 very soon!


AM: What’s next for you in 2021? 

I'm currently working on my own EP as Wallwork and also wrapping up a couple of very special EPs from some London based artists that I'm very excited about.

Diego de la Reguera is a dj and architect from México city with 5 years blending throughout multiple genres including electro, techno, ghettotech, idm and drum & bass.

RDL Shellah (the artist formerly known as RDL) follows up the long sold out pop-grade 2021 Streets 7” produced by Mexico’s riddim queen Smurphy with a full Showcase EP featuring Canadian collective Seekersinternational (SKRS) on the buttons once again.

Lead single ‘Bad Wine’ is pure silky-tongued summer heater with a dusty boom-bap soul like a Jamaican take on Anderson Paak and Knxwledge; while the video tells a classic ‘where is my boyfriend’ story that’s as old as time. RDL Shellah has been part of I Jahbar’s Roolingz Musik collective, recording under the name Providence and guesting on tracks like ‘Rock the Party’ before joining him in Duppy Gun operations. The Showcase EP marks his first big artistic statement as a solo vocalist before he embarks on another collaborative EP in 2022 with I Jahbar sharing vocal duties (also produced by Seekersinternational).
