DJ Serene is an Amsterdam-based DJ and booker. Together with LYZZA they founded X3 in 2017, an organization that focuses on creating safer-spaces and more authentic experiences in Amsterdam’s nightlife. Serene has probably played at every underground club in Amsterdam, where you will hear her play percussive electronic tracks and a mix of all other kinds of club music. 
Music is a tool that DJ Serene employs to bind her inner and outer world together – something she tried to manifest with this mix as well.

Expanding further the processes of collaboration of the CLMxGUN project, we are happy to introduce singles to our catalog with SEED - a series of individual tracks that are the result of a spontaneous association between two or more members of the Global URL Nation. 

Emerging from the cross-pollination happening among the GUN community, they recombine musical genres and cultural backgrounds into a variety of sounds, producing new breeds and species in the landscape of electronic music. They blossom along the trail of the CLMxGUN journey, providing unique delicacies and brief satisfactions to be picked up and enjoyed in the moment.

To initiate the series, French producers SNKLS & Soft Matter blesses us with the perfect combination of their styles. At the crossroads of a grime instrumental and a percussive club tool, Ibryd01 merges powerful drums with gloomy synths - a dance-floor material that is both daunting and refreshing at once.

It is the music that specifically made for bastards to dance in the club by Mr.Peña and XOXO Miro from Switzerland. All of the wired melodies, funny records, sudden drums are saying “not taking it too serious”, let you not wail like a baby when you break everything due to an inexplicable fall. A humorous language, hidden in every sound from Sell to Horserider. So far, there is still no mystery in this EP, it simply provides us with all the functions that every dance music should have; of course, just for mature bastards.
