My mostly completed song about isolation. It will be about the feeling of being detached from your loved ones with lyrical imagery in a nautical theme, "Cut Adrift" and floating lost.

Cut Adrift

This is a cover song written by Phil Collins from his first solo album that I am working on.  right now I am unable to record vocals or truly live instruments. I am still learning about modern recording and hope to one day create a disc of covers and one of originals.  

Roof Is Leaking

This is 1/3 completed. I wanted to open with the fanfare of Judas Priest 'The Hellion'.  Then I wanted it to flow into something unexpected like The Beatles "tomorrow Never Knows." 
I've been have trouble with my guitar playing (hands/fingers) and very out of practice with my vocals. Anyway, this is just partial.

Jump through the hills where leaves that fall
Play with dust devils that come for us all
Roll down the hill and crash into leaves
pop through the top while we ignore our grief
playing all day laughing all the while
read stories at night go to bed with a smile
contentment
but we didn't do my favorite thing
oh sweetie tomorrow is another day

Summer Leaves

I discovered music on a deep level at age 10. Rush just released Hemispheres, Pink Floyd just released Animals, Led Zeppelin just came off of a break, ELO released Out Of The Blue and The Moody Blues catalog dropped in my lap.
These where the people that had me look deeper into music and find myself inside there. Made me realize there is more out there to discover and i was not alone.

Now I'm older, retirement on the horizon, years of experimenting and finally taking a serious effort of expression. This is a journey of my own without expectations of anything more than me in my home playing with new toys and releasing my artistic side.
