First Period

My mysterious collaborator suggested I use “Let’s McFreakin’ Lose It” in one of the album’s tracks. I’m assuming he meant as a drop or something, but instead I decided to take a more subtle and creepy approach, basing an entire track on the creepy distorted vibes I got from slowing it down.

WIP notes - it’s lacking an intro (partly because I may have the previous track transition into it), and the ending is a transition into another track. I’d like to refine the mixing on the heavier bass and possibly distort it a bit more, but I’ve had trouble finding a balance between presence/volume and distortion/good mixing. Overall mastering needs some tweaks. Structure could maybe be fixed to improve the flow (i.e. removing some of the sudden cutaways), but I like the clunky uneasiness they add, so I’m torn.
