Original song I wrote that won 1st place in Dordt's Songwriting Competition, 2013. Part of my prize was to record it professionally. :) Here are the results.

Tyger and Lamb

I wrote this song in April, the title inspired by Lupita Nyong'o's acceptance speech at the 2014 Oscars. The majority of the lyrics, and the song itself, was inspired by my 5 little sisters, to whom I dedicate this song. 

Eating Beauty

This is my cover of Frank Ocean's golden song "Thinking Bout You". I did a whole ton of harmonies on it and it took me forever, but I think I kind of like it enough to finally upload it...enjoy.

I don't like Miley Cyrus, but I learned the song anyway and recorded it in the bathroom one time last summer. I added a few harmonies, listened to it, hated it, and put it away. I came across it again tonight and thought, 'What the hell,' so here it is--flaws and all.

I can sing really low, and only sort of high. I love music so much I would eat it for breakfast. I will probably never be famous. Strangers seem to like my covers, though. My ukulele is named Marius, and he travels everywhere with me. We've been to several states, have played in parks, in mountains, in houses, on stages, in tornado shelters, in bathrooms, and on busy downtown streets at night while drunken passerby's applaud and give us their leftover chicken wings from Hooters. It's been quite a ride.
