Nocturnal Groove Séance – Nordic Soul Syndicate

En dimmig höstkväll i en övergiven kyrkogård. Skivspelaren börjar snurra, en benknota sänks ner som nål – och ur mörkret stiger Nordic Soul Syndicate för att framföra sin mest okonventionella platta hittills.

Nocturnal Groove Séance är en 48 minuter lång resa genom spöklika improvisationer, dubstep-beats, hemliga konspirationer och soulens mörkare hörn. Här möts avantgarde-jazz, Halloween-estetik och experimentell groove i en skivsession som lika gärna kunde ha ägt rum i en katakomb som på en nattlig undergroundklubb.

Med titlar som Ghost Tones, Pumpkin Poltergeist och Last Dance in the Catacombs bjuder plattan på allt från kusliga ballader till rytmiska kaosutbrott. Det är musik för både jazzpurister, vampyrer och nyfikna andar.

Slutresultatet?
En skiva som inte bara spelas – den hemsöker.
