On the days I can't make up my mind I feel just like
A conversation between two vegans
Where one is adamant to the other's detriment
Why we should kill the spotted lantern fly

A three legged dog reminds me
Rules can be arbitrary.
I saw her swim, I watched her run,
Eyes a'glowin' in the sun.

And I'd much rather be staring off into space (than my phone)
Or accidentally at a stranger's face.
I get a neutral grin, or a look of disdain,
Either way I'm entertained.

As of late, I have been burdened by these memories left out too long
In the rain or in the sunshine, in my brain or deep in my spine,
While this ocean wave CD's been playing for eternity
Cuz it has been scratched.

Still I try to find my way out of this damn algorithm
Listen to the radio where my friend picks the tunes for her show
While I still take every pattern, every recipe
As an opportunity for interpretation.

And I blow kisses at the drivers of all the cars that don't hit me while I bike
Through these city streets by day or at night in my layers, dark
Thanks for seeing me through so I could find a grey hair among red
