Shermanology make their much-anticipated Defected debut with the feel-good house track ‘Sometimes’. Comprised of brother and sister Andy and Dorothy Sherman, the Dutch duo have acquired much high-profile attention across the club space and A List radio, before making waves on the festival circuit around the world. 

Their latest release ‘Sometimes’ demonstrates their signature house sound, born from a hearty mix of UKG, Caribbean and soul influences that Andy Sherman incorporates into their uplifting live sets; Dorothy’s distinctive vocals remain crystal clear over Andy’s joyous production, establishing the pair as an unstoppable duo to watch.

The producer and vocalist team of Sam Divine and Josh Barry return to Defected once more with ‘Saved By The Record’. The collaboration follows 2023’s ‘Take My Hand’ which saw the pair quickly establish a rewarding working relationship and friendship, resulting in a dancefloor-ready track with striking vocals that dominated the summer and saw major radio play across BBC Radio 1, KISS FM, and Sirius XM in the US. Kicking off 2024 with a bang, Sam Divine has collaborated with Hannah Wants and Jem Cooke on Defected’s Together series, released a compilation aligning with their inclusive Miami Music Week 2024 takeover, and is now celebrating 9 years of her own imprint DVINE Sounds as she prepares for a busy 2024 touring schedule that includes Ushuaïa Ibiza, a headline Australian / New Zealand tour, and Glastonbury Festival. Now the acclaimed DJ and Defected radio host returns with the second of five singles on Defected planned for 2024, ‘Saved By The Record’, alongside the talented vocalist Josh Barry, an artist who has previously appeared on records by Nile Rodgers and Gorgon City. The song’s lyrics take inspiration from some of the most famous house and electronic records; Josh’s powerful vocals deftly weave over Sam’s precise and bassy production style, creating a personal and infectious house record to prepare us for the summer season.

With its driving bass, soulful top-line and infectious groove, this energised club cut shows Ferreck and his collaborators doing what they do best. As Alex’s vocals power through the speakers, Ferreck and Leo’s slick production take her love struck lyrics to produce a melodic house track for late-summer nights, as well as international dancefloors for years to come.

“Tuk Tuk” is the third single from the album "Nobody Is Not Loved", that is now being released.

It is a highly energetic track that swerves across genres, first and foremost through the powerfulness of the extraordinary voice of Inez, singer of the German band ÄTNA. Her strong attitude stands above it all: "I'm the boss!"

The music video is a parable for the main idea behind the album title: The invisible protagonist of the video is the music, embodied by Inez. And she really has to fight. Throughout history, music has been misused, attacked or entirely forbidden – but until now has always prevailed. And once again in this case!

Because only music has the power to overcome everything - and to unite everyone in the end.
