RISING (Acoustic Live) by Ciinderella Balthazar is a powerful, cinematic soul and alternative pop ballad recorded live at golden hour. Stripped back to guitar and vocals, this intimate performance captures raw emotion, rich storytelling, and soaring female vocals that fans of Florence + The Machine, London Grammar, and Amy Winehouse will love.

Written in the aftermath of betrayal, RISING is an anthem of resilience: about every time someone has used you, doubted you, or tried to break you, and the strength to rise again, stronger than ever.

Premiered ahead of her headline show at The Troubadour, London on August 29, 2025, this acoustic live performance is a glimpse into her upcoming debut EP Unsafe, releasing October 10, 2025.

Lonesome Town

The "If You’re on the Water" EP, while self-released, is The Saxophones' first studio recording. It was recorded and mixed on an analog Toft console by Cameron Spies of Radiation City over the course of a spring week in Portland, Oregon. It features Alexi Erenkov on guitar, vocals, and woodwinds; his wife, Alison Alderdice on percussion and vocals; and his longtime friend and collaborator Richard Laws on bass, vibes, and Crumar synthesizer. 

The title track was inspired by a summer week that saw suicide, the transition of a relationship, and Alexi and his Father’s near death experience in a boating accident. The album pays tribute to the currents of beauty, sorrow and regret that run through our lives.

Why Don't We Take A Walk By The Sea?

This EP began in June 2012 with what was really supposed to be a demo (I'm not just making this up to have a cool story to tell you, plus this story isn't even cool). 

I had just written the opening track "City Lights" and was recording it so I wouldn't forget the melody. I played and sang it into a single microphone before rushing off to go grocery shopping, or swimming maybe. I listened back later and didn't mind the sound, even though it wasn't very professional sounding. Over the next several weeks I recorded 6 or 7 more in the same way, guitar and vocals into a single microphone. Then I layered on everything I could think of, including an Akai AX60 synthesizer, D.I.'d slide guitar, a Helpinstill portable piano, and half a drum kit (where's the hi-hat?). I picked the best six songs and eventually finished them, and now I'm sharing them with you. Hope you enjoy. Lots more to come.
