When I wrote this piece I was in the midst of a great sadness, despair almost. I turned to my guitar for solace and found a new chord in a new tuning, the chord lifted me up... I found by the time I had finished the tune I was feeling joyful, music has that power for me. I hope that this track uplifts you and takes you on a journey... CC Jesse Kane 2015

I wrote this tune in the middle of a seriously bad patch in my life, I needed something to cheer me up, and as always, I could turn to my guitar, and when I did this time, this came out, which lifted me completely out of my funk. Hope you enjoy it :-)

I'm a guitarist, been playing about 15 years now, please feel free to give feedback and let me know how you think I could improve my tunes, apart from the obvious thing of adding lyrics, which I'm working on! I'm really looking to meeting some musical kin, I'd love to be part of a band to develop some of these sketches and also work with a lyricist/singer. If what you hear resonates with you in some way and you play an instrument then please do email me! I'm based in south Devon and have no transport so I'm looking for local folks really... Violin or Viola would add loads and I love the tone of those instruments, Cello or Double Bass for the warmth and depth they bring... I think a full drum kit might be too much for these tunes... but I also like to rock out.... I'd like to be in a band that can express the full dynamic of energies if you know what I mean. Djembe would be better for some tunes... If you're a Kora player (rare as!) then I'd love to hear from you! I'm up for a musical adventure, so if you play something else (fingerstyle guitar.... dobro or slide guitar... flute?... sampler? kazoo?!) still, get in touch if you feel anything from these chord progressions. These were very quickly recorded demo's and my technique is better than what you hear here when I'm on good form!
