"Never did I think it would grow into this...". He said with a crooked smile... staring off for a few seconds as the joint continued to slowly burn away. After taking another couple pulls he looked at me and said "...but I'm damn proud of my Camp." 
Reflections like these come often to a seasoned MC who at heart is still that little kid hearing Slick Rick for the first time. Recording and performing by age 12, he took the name Encore when he realized people always wanted to see more from him. Armed with guidance from older peers who saw his potential, and supportive parents, his style continued to grow. After many underground releases he dropped his first in-store solo Fear & Loathing in 2001.
Then came the inevitable show promoter years...After touring the country and seeing all the hip-hop culture so many cities had to offer, Korchino decided Vegas needed more opportunity for local artists to hone their skills. As co-founder and producer of a weekly hip-hop show that eventually evolved into Sunday Skoolin at the Beauty Bar, Kor proved his worth as more than just an MC. 
"Dudes all the time tell me how they rap...I'm thinking like OK cool what else do you do? Everyone in my crew makes beats...we got clothes, art, bad advice you name it! (Laughs) Point is anyone can be a rapper, we want to be a brand."
Now involved with the Gold Standard project (Omino Jakku, Korchino & Shanestream), in recent years he has been instrumental in the CFM releases Wickedlist & Halfway Deceased, among others. For now though, his focus remains on the present.
"I'm so excited for all the momentum we have right now...I want to sing about it. Life is good and no one is going to take that away...that's my word."
