The idea is to create music that I enjoy. A bi-product of this idea is that others may enjoy it too. 

This idea keeps me from falling into a trend (although I may have a particular style), from trying to sound like some one I'm not (even though I have many an influence), and from becoming something that I have no interest in being. 

I find comfort in the idea.
