Before it was performed by the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra, "Crepusculaire" was a simple piano piece. In this new recording, I feel that Jakub captures the essence of the music.

Merfolk's Lament

This is the story about a boy and his dog that venture out from home, but as the fog thickens they get lost in an eerie bog. Finally they come upon a strange hut on stilts...

By this point, word has spread and so the worried townsfolk set out to look for the pair, but after a long search with no sign, overhead an indistinct shape flies above the bog. There's a chill in the air, even the frogs are suddenly silent...

Lamentation

This piece for violin and full orchestra was partially composed during a vacation with friends from college and high school, hence the working title.  This version was created with NotePerformer 3 in Finale 26.  I will be rendering it using better sound libraries in the future, and I will be on the lookout for orchestras and violinist to perform the music.

The violinist of the Russian origin Oleg Bezuglov, was recognized as the Laureate of the National Award Program “Golden Talent” of the Russian Performing Art foundation. He was titled as the Honored Worker of the Russian Music Society for his contributions to popularization of the classical music worldwide, and numerous awards at the international competitions.
