Made this a month ago for my Audio Art project, all sounds from this are field recordings and samples that I put compiled together. One of my goals I guess was to be better at production and so I put 3 beats in this haha yep - listen, to a young brother preach, not even trolling. This year honestly pretty huge in terms of confronting oneself through the lens of the Marxist philosopher Carl Jung.

Meditation

I wrote this song in response to the acting Prime Minister Chris Hipkins saying to the media on the 4th of September 2023 "There was no compulsory vaccination, people made their own choices." I personally stand for Freedom of Choice and my opinion is that it was extremely insensitive for Chris to say this when the only choice many people in New Zealand had, during the pandemic, was to receive a vaccine or lose their jobs. The music video for this song was created by Gaylene Barnes the director of the #1 NZ Box Office Movie ‘River of Freedom’
This is an upbeat, powerful Folk Rock song, of our time, in the spirit of Bob Dylan and Oliver Anthony. It's a social commentary about every human beings right to Freedom of Choice. It's about fighting for the underdog. This song has attitude like all great Rock songs should. The Music video for this song is featured on the 2024 Blu-ray release of New Zealand's Number One Box Office hit Movie 'River Of Freedom' .
Most employees did not have a choice, if they still wanted to feed their families, pay their mortgage or rent. I work for myself so I did have a choice and I chose not to be part of an ineffective medical experiment. I still lost a lot of my choices of where I could go to shop, eat, drink or play my music. I still lost my choice and ability to earn an income during the lockdowns. The best analogy I can think of is if someone breaks into your house and puts a gun to your head and says give me all your valuables or I'll kill you, It's your choice? If you did this to make someone sign a contract, it would void the contract, it's called duress. Here's the definition of duress: The contract is not legally binding if there was: duress — when serious threats or pressure are used to force someone to accept a contract. This song is about standing up for your rights for the good of all humanity. I chose the release date, the 3rd of April, because this is the day Jesus made the ultimate sacrifice to save all of our souls.

Jesse Wilde & The Drive, a five-piece Auckland based band delivers catchy, southern-tinged rock with great passion and stadium confidence.

Lead singer Jesse Wilde was formerly the front man for folk-rockers Acoustic Attitude, a prominent ‘90s band regularly packing the house at the legendary Auckland venue, The Gluepot.
