American artist and composer Jesse Jolee teamed with three Brazilian Instrumentalists to produce, Between Lives under the name Garden Keeper. Feel the mixture of Brazilian and American influences, a bit of Jazz and Swing, Funk and Reggae, Folk and Psychedelic Rock. Jesse Jolee’s first EP has a decidedly eclectic worldly feel. From meeting the musicians by chance, to arranging the songs on a farm in the Brazilian Countryside, to recording the album in an old Screw Factory, the surreal creative process as a whole took a little less than a month. The Album was then given the final touches at Sterling Sound in New York.

Jesse Jolee, began a new life in Brazil when he was 19. He fell in love with a Brazilian exchange student, now his wife, and left the US on a whim after love and adventure. “My wife gave me my first guitar months after arriving in Brazil, an old nylon string guitar, I had time on my hands and she would come to my first lessons with me as a translator, since I didn’t speak any Portuguese! I always loved to write, and I quickly learned I could put words to chords, and the rest is history.” Nine years later, Jesse has begun preparing his second album, and first Solo experience. “I’m looking to dive into myself, Jesse Lee, I’m learning how to love, how to be vulnerable, how to open my heart…it's a search for hope and understanding.”
