My take on the legendary Tiellä ken vaeltaa psalm. Sampled the children's choir version and layered some chords in the background.

There are also some clips of an actual priest preaching in my friend's baptism event in the 90's.

My debut underground live set in Tampere. I prepared this set for a special occasion and wanted to build a journey from east to west and beyond. 

Starting with mellow and atmospheric downtempo via organic & deep grooves all the way to a psytrance-flavoured techno. 

I added my favourite growling analog basslines and paired them with some punchy percussions. I wanted to create an organic sonic tapestry that wraps around you like a hug from a dear friend 💚❤️

Samples contain eg. my voice, gravel dropping into a water puddle, my friend Piki Rantanen's beautiful poetry, Enbo Chen's shakuhachi flute, trumpets, Dale Cooper's wisdoms and fragments from old Middle Eastern songs.

Pulled up the old Korgs and came up with this rolling minimal techno pattern, may it be called "Analog Aura". The Monotribe was btw my first ever synth and it's still a beast 🎛️

The samples feature some of my field recordings such as birds singing and the hi-hat that is made from the sound of me stepping on snow ❄️🐦

I routed the Keys and Montribe to the inputs of my Digitakt in the mono split mode, added a bit delay & reverb and recorded the mixdown  straight from the Digitakt.

Analog Aura

My first open air gig in the opening of Käpylän kiska, a local coffee kiosk near my home. I got to be the last performer in this great event filled with music, art and joyous vibes. I call this music ☕️ kiskatekno ☕️ 

The event was organised in collaboration with a Helsinki-based Penthouse Collective on Saturday, May 18th.

I created this exclusively for Käpylän kiska and it featured samples I recorded from the kiosk: coffee grinder & milk foaming, some squeaky old hatches, hi-hats from a bag of plastic spoons, snares from banging a shipping container, sounds of a nearby tram passing and vocal samples from the kiosk's social media 🎤

Dub, Techno & Psytrance // Open Air Live Set // Käpylän kiska x Penthouse Collective 18.05.24

This was probably my most interesting & experimental live set so far. Also most fun to play. A downtempo vibe between 110–115 bpm with an ambient soundscape combined to minimal, rhythmic and repetitive techno patterns. 

Samples feature field recordings of eg. singing birds, shakuhachi flute, 3D printer sounds, creaking locks & doors from the venue (an old mental hospital), traditional Chinese sayings/songs and sounds of snow & water.

I played the set with a bit different setup, pairing the Digitakt only with Korg Monotribe & Volca bass.

The event was called Mental Hygiene, hosted by a collaboration of artists in a refurbished and converted art space in a historic old mental hospital in Helsinki. There were a number of artists performing live experimental music, dance, synth performances and DJ sets. That gave me the opportunity to try something more experimental as well 🧠.

It was the perfect Summer day combined with amazing vibes of the Berlinesque environment of Helsinki's Konepaja.

Space-themed dawless live set at the Propulsion underground event in Tampere 🛰️

Delivering my organic and raw techno-driven sound with a groovy and dubby twist.

In this live set, you will hear sounds from outer space modulated in a milky way, mangled samples oscillated to new dimensions tied together with minimal but compelling rhythms with polymeters thrusting into uncharted galaxies.

For this set I sampled eg. 2001: A Space Odyssey, Alien (1979), Interstellar and a NASA space shuttle lift-off. There's also some delicious modular synth loops and Synare samples sprinkled in 🎛️

Live from our Yalda night event ‪@nasha_helsinki‬ studio where I played this special warm-up set. 

Samples include the Persian legend Hayedeh (from Tire Mojgan, Nemidanam, Nemikheham Bedanam) and some Indian raga clips.

I'm deepening my explorations in the soundscapes of MENASA (Middle East, North Africa and South Asia) while fitting them to my own organic & hypnotic techno sound.

My 1,5h live set from a Helsinki-based club called Tanner. I was a visiting artist for the local Yalla collective who host nights here regularly.

This was both fun and challenging: keeping things interesting but steady enough for over 90 minutes in a live setting, with a new crowd and without a soundcheck was something I don't do very often. But I'm glad I did now and got the chance to share my music with these lovely people 💙

I blended house and techno grooves with some MENASA (Middle East, North Africa and South Asia ) flavours. I feel that my performance was quite genre-fluid and had a good amount of improvisation & mixing things live.

My live set from the 15th annual Domestic Techno Inspection aka Kotimaan Teknokatsaus. I was honored to be selected for the lineup and to get to share my music.

I was even more thrilled being paired with the visual wizard Arttu Nieminen (hcnieminen) who did all the beautiful visuals, check out the whole set from my YouTube channel.

I just got the SOMA Lyra 8 and this was my first actual jam with it after a brief introduction. Exploring how it interacts with itself and with my touch, seeing where it takes me.

The Lyra truly is a deep, beautiful, subtle, harsh and confusing machine. I've grown to really like it for those reasons. Opening some portals and jumping in.

I got this individual second hand, it's one of the 2017 pre-order DIY pieces so that's why it also looks unique. 

Looking forward to pair it with my other gear!

Ambient Explorations With Lyra 8

Delivered this experimental and improvisational set in the annual Mental Hygiene underground event, held in the attic of an old mental hospital.

This was the first time I performed with my Lyra 8 and naturally I didn't know what to expect. I had added some contact mics to the Lyra's case and routed that signal to its external inputs. Got some nice textures & effects from that!

Pairing the Lyra with my existing setup felt quite nice, accepting that you can't control everything was a good learning experience as well. Going with the feelings, letting go and enjoying 🤍

Experimental Ambient Techno // Mental Hygiene 24.05.25

My live set from the lovely downstairs of Harju8, a local restaurant and cultural hub. This was a special night of various experimental live performances curated as a pre-party for the annual Mental Hygiene event.

I actually played the wrong set here by accident 😅 I had my ambient-flavoured project loaded but noticed it only when I had started the set already. So then I went with the flow and improvised! It ended up being a nice journey from ambient to organic and hypnotic grooves.

Another 1,5h live this time from my favourite underground club in Helsinki ♦️  This was the day before Ascension day 28.05.2025. 

I started the set with some ambient pads navigating my way slowly to groovy, hypnotic and deep waters.

This was exceptionally fun set and I felt so comfortable playing that it was almost like jamming at home. The dance floor was full and the energy was wholesome ❤️

Together with Art4Gaza Helsinki, we organized an evening of live ambient music @nasha_helsinki featuring improvised singing and spoken word: calm, deep, and listening-oriented. We created a shared space of sonic care and quiet reflection.

The entrance fee was directed in its entirety to combat weaponized starvation and famine in Gaza.

Our first live set with @latvusto123 and @lempiveera and my first gig at @clubkaiku.

We went into the deep end of hypnotic, immersive and improvisational techno in this 2h megajam. 

The performance was part of our collective @nasha_helsinki's night called Dream Sequence — a concept rooted in live, experimental, and deep explorations.

My +3h live set from Mitäs Mitäs Mitäs that has become one of my favourite festivals. It was the first time I've played in a bigger festival like this AND my longest live set so far.

It was a journey from ambient textures to slow minimal rhythms and deep rolling grooves. I'm also thankful that despite the rain and early time slot there was people dancing and and feeling 🩵

I'm somewhat bummed that I had some technical difficulties with my compressor with the sound being ducked unintentionally. I only noticed during the latter part of the set as it wasn't that audible in on the stage 😥

However, it was a great experience doing a long-form set and building the atmosphere for the rest of the night.

Mitäs Mitäs Mitäs Festival 2025 // 3h Opening Live Set

Our electronic & acoustic hybrid live performance with Ahoora Mahone at Club @clubkaiku. Ahoora was playing a range of percussions including Daf, Zarb, Daf and Qraqeb.

The room was full, energy was through the roof and the live groove and improvisation captured us all. Merging electronic hardware with acoustic drums and occasional triplets is a banger combo and we will surely explore this further!

This set was part of our collective @nasha_helsinki's night called Disco Divooneh II: a night celebrating live performances and cross-cultural fusion: SWANA sounds with an electronic groove, Latin American rhythms and breaking the boundaries of danceable music as we know it.

It's been an ambient Summer for me. I was honoured to deliver my first ever 3h ambient live set on an August Sunday at a local temporary community space called R4, located in former slaughterhouse area in Helsinki.

I dived deep into soothing and deep soundscapes with drones as the backdrop. There was plenty of improvisation, organic movement and channeling emotions through my synthesisers, drum machines and guitar – layering, mixing, modulating, feeling.

My phone battery died at the 2,5h mark so unfortunately the last 30min of my set was not recorded.

Live Ambient Set // R4 Space Helsinki 10.08.25

A late night/early morning ambient set from a special place with a special audience.

I introduced a special twist here with the Playtronica TouchMe: I gave it to the audience and they participated in the performance by touching the controller and each other. The TouchMe triggered a noise patch I created in VCV Rack.

I played a fair my electric guitar a fair amount, routing it through Lyra 8 and Mood mk2. Other sounds I crafted mainly live in the Digitakt and Syntakt.
