As the title suggests, this song is for the outliers, anyone that has ever felt weird, different, or out of place. These feelings often result in shame and guilt for being true to oneself, but being true to oneself is how we come to realize our place in the universe. We don't become who we are by burning ourselves with our past, we become who we are by forgiving and accepting ourselves so that we can then do so for everyone and everything else. This is the path to enlightenment, peace, and love.

For The Outliers

The girl on the cover, Jen, is the personification of Jess Helios's purpose. In his circumstance, she represents music and his guitar. The lyric "Jen oh Jen show me how to live, Jen oh Jen show me to the end" refers to the way in which our craft and calling acts as our guide, instrument, or compass, sometimes both in a figurative and literal sense.

You ever found yourself drowning in despair and you just gotta scream it out. This is that. Written for the great 2024 solar eclipse.

While on his mission to mars, Jess Helios, wrote a slew of tunes to process his time on earth. These songs dive into everything from shame to death and life beyond, but most importantly, they orbit around the concept of humanity. Maybe they're about Jess attempting to hold onto his humanity as he flies through the depths of space, something that doesn't feel too human yet, or maybe they're not. That said, Jess, most likely would've already lost himself anyway, were it not for The Crew holding the ship together.
