Mikey McFaffington and his Saxophonic Adventures

This song may appear simple, if not simplistic. This is right, it’s not a complicated, rather a common, story about opening the door to someone and having to let this someone leaves you one day through the very same door.

However, in life like in love, don’t let the ordinary fool you. The little things in life are the biggest ones and when you have to look back to realize it, you’re actually lost to those magical instants.
Zut doesn’t stand for « Zebra University of Technology », but for « damn! » or « oh, heck! » in French. Yes, in French! Writing in the language of Molière was an arduous choice. It took me a year or so to go from the original « kinda » French lyrics to the final ones, which were done in a bar, on a paper napkin, along a few drinks!

The melody and chords were the most intuitive to find, playing around for a few evenings. However, honestly, my accent didn’t suit the rhythms and atmosphere. Finding singers willing to contribute proved not to be an easier task! Finally, Oliver Neff aka Titanic Jack agreed to record the main vocals. Together with Maja Štebih with her nice back vocals, they made such a great work on this Indie folkish-poppish-rock track. 
Thanks to both of them for their time, trust and capacity to see, and bring, beauty into the world!

Larry Coleman 2020 and Icelandic Producer HulliOnTheBeat are at it again. And this time they invited Las Vegas Hip-Hop supergroup, DOTWAV. Over cold and smooth guitars along with daunting samples of a better time in hip-hop: Larry Coleman 2020 pays tribute to one of his all time favorite tracks: Gang Star's "Skillz" from the 1990's duo's massive catalog.

The remake pays hommage to the lyrical skillset that Guru describes throughout the original rap concept. And includes gifted Mc's from the DOTWAV group; Creed Chameleon and Kennfrancis.

Today's hip-hop has culture has much changed from the past. The skills that are required to launch a career in hip-hop have changed. In a time of self-promotion, internet personalities and video shorts, you better believe you will need a whole lotta skills to make a splash in today's always growing culture.

Larry Coleman 2020 and DOTWAV both reside in Las Vegas, Nevada. And find themselves at the center of the hip-hop community heading into 2024.

I Fly

This is the lead track from the set of songs that I began with Wou-Wou & the Wormling during the start of the turmoil and chaos brought upon by the pandemic. This is also the first part of four tracks within the album directly based on Wou-Wou’s comic, The Shrike. It has been incredible working with Bitzone and Stricknice throughout the project as well. It is always cool when the everyone in the stag heard works well togehter and brings distinct yet complimentary ideas to the mix. Big thanks also to Weighty Tree for introducing his groovy style of neopsychedelica to the rut! 

May everyone be victorious at their turn during the rut.

Several weeks after the events of The Great Scurry, all had returned back to normal in the autumnal forest. Nature has a way of quickly shaking off the traumas of the past and returning to its most basic of desires. You see, all of life yearns to mate and procreate, and while most that experience defeat from the stronger or rejection from those seeking the fitter, muster the determination to get back up again, some take their spurning to heart, as if they were more deserving than nature intended, where it festers and begins to grow a new grotesque life of its own.

I'm hoping this will cut it as the first track on an album inspired by Asimov's Foundation novels.
I used a Gibson 335 Memphis for all the guitar parts.
The cover is from a Catalonian edition of the book and is by Guillem H. Pongillupi; find him on Artstation and Pinterest.

No matter how many sound effects I added, I couldn't fill the void in my heart. 
　The tone of the song was supposed to be a cheerful mood, but it ended up being a dissipating feeling of loneliness. Earthquakes, recession, and wasteful government economic policies all surround me. 
　Everything I touch casts a lonely shadow.

Recorded with a Zoom H4n, 44,1k Hz stereo.  The file is 16 bit wav format.  Nothing was done to the sound, except the short fade in and fade out.  It's raw audio.  If some level of compression was applied at all, it was the microphones themselves that did it.
