Autumnal Equinox is album three in a series of four albums. Each album is released according to the seasons' change and exude the feeling of that season. This album is part of a songwriting challenge to write one piano song per week. It is meant to be a journey throughout the year that echoes the transition between months and demonstrates the constant among the changes in season and in life. This album expresses the relationship between summer turning into fall.

Autumnal Equinox

Formed in Oslo in 1996 by childhood friends Jon-Arne Vilbo and Thomas Andersen along with Jan-Henrik Ohme (later joined by Mikael Krømer, Lars Erik Asp and Kristian Torp), Gazpacho have honed their unique sound over a string of critically acclaimed albums and numerous tours, including several with long-time supporters Marillion.

Night was originally released in 2007. A musical interpretation of a dream or stream of consciousness, it was the band's first true concept album in that it is one long song split into five parts. This structure attempts to recreate the pattern of a dream where the mind of the dreamer floats in and out of different memories and worlds. The album explores the question of where dreams end and reality begins and the mind as the tool that has to decide what to believe. During the dream the 'character' travels through various memories, both real and imagined, and sees the world from the angles of different people. Jon-Arne describes the album as being, 'about life and the various ways of interpreting existence.'

Night was Gazpacho's fourth studio album and was the album that introduced the band to a much larger audience. Despite the high regard with which the album is held, by fans and the band alike, there has always been a few small issues with aspects of the sound that have bugged the band and other features of the songs which have emerged through playing them live for the last five years. This new Kscope edition of the album has allowed the band to address these issues while still remaining faithful to the original.

For the new edition, which is packaged in a deluxe digi-book and comes with a bonus disc, the band wanted to re-record the drums and once they started this process they found that there were a few other tweaks that could be made. Thomas explains the changes that they made, 'we re-recorded the drums and some of the vocals that were distorted in the original recording session. We also added some of the tracks that were left off the original version to add further depth to the sound. We also remixed and for the first time for Night, mastered it at Cutting Room Studios in Stockholm.'

The second disc features live versions of the opening 3 tracks from <em>Night</em>, recorded at the Gloria Theatre in Cologne during the European tour to support their acclaimed 2012 album, March Of Ghosts. Here is the live version of 'Upside Down' from the bonus disc.

Jessica Hernandez & The Deltas return with their sophomore album “Telephone // Telefono,” their first full-length bilingual recording to be released in both English and Spanish language versions.

A second generation Cuban and Mexican-American, Jessica felt it her duty to further explore her own Hispanic heritage on the band's sophomore recording. She knew songs written and recorded in English required more than simply translation – a full rethink was needed to truly give them equivalent poetry and power in her second language. She pushed herself to use Spanish in ways she had never previously attempted, rewriting the songs with the invaluable aid of her mates in Mexico City to better suit the new lyrics and vocal style. Jessica even spent two full weeks speaking exclusively in Spanish, singing for hours in a friend’s studio to create a kind of muscle memory.

Intensely personal and undeniably provocative, “Telephone // Telefono” is a milestone achievement for the band who are upping the ante on their one-of-a-kind soundclash of Goth pop, Latin rock, psychedelic surf, punk cabaret, dirty dancehall, and bold balladry, a voracious approach made uniquely their own through Jessica's astonishing vocal power and The Deltas’ own boundless versatility. The new songs see The Deltas’ brand of Motor City magic taken to the max while their Spanish counterparts unveil fresh meanings and emotive power. The result is a genuinely unprecedented work of remarkable duality and impossible-to-ignore relevance. 

In 2014, Jessica Hernandez & The Deltas released their debut “Secret Evil" and spent two years on the road; countless headline gigs, supports with such like-minded acts as Gogol Bordello, Social Distortion and St. Paul & The Broken Bones, and well-received sets at festivals like Lollapalooza, ACL Music Festival, Osheaga, and Bonnaroo. Jessica was intensely productive throughout the non-stop tour, somehow finding time to get married while also writing and readying the band’s next album. The Deltas reconvened in their native Michigan for sessions in early 2016, capturing all the fire, excitement, and band unity gained by their almost nightly performances.

Long hailed as an explosive and theatrical live outfit, Jessica Hernandez & The Deltas will celebrate “Telephone // Telefono” with a non-stop North American tour schedule, highlighted by headline dates, radio shows, festival appearances, and more.
