Chris is a magical fret-meister yet his fretless brow is permanently unfurrowed. Jessie sings of deep-heat, insular damnation, paradoxical self-refrigeration and yearning in a desert where love is like a shrinking cactus...  tragedy perhaps? Or a juicy green spine remains. But need for Starburst (formerly Opal Fruits) eventually takes precedence and she runs off to the shops...

 ... is the tagline for Jessie Pie & The Thorn, a band whose red hot stuff comes peppered with innuendo but always fresh from The Oven of Love. JP & TT describe their style as ‘Cabaret Americana': original material that embraces the rootsiness and theatricality of rock, jazz, reggae, music hall and even Russian Folk. 
JP & TT play either as a duo or a trio consisting of guitar (Chris Thorn) vocals (songwriter Jessie Pie) and various high flyers on the drums - Michael Connolly plays on the demo recordings posted here on SoundCloud; recently the band have recruited drummer and percussionist Davide Marini for live gigs and future studio work. 
Tracks from JP & TT's demo are featured regularly by rock DJ Jamie Mcdonald on Leeds radio show "Live Now Die Later" (https://twitter.com/livenowdielate1).
