John Denver wrote "Country Roads," but the first time I heard this song was when my Uncle Bobby played it, forever one of my favorite performances. We are a singing family, and that's in large part to his deep love for it.
I dedicate this cover of "Country Roads" to my late Uncle Bobby. He went home early for us, but praise the Lord, he went home to the arms of our Father in heaven!

Country Roads Cover (John Denver)

My sound is Folky/Jazzy/Indie-Pop, and I sing . . . to sing! I need to - haven't stopped since learning "I've been working on the railroad" as a toddler. Inspiration & love for harmony aside, scientists found sound waves inside the building blocks of atoms. It's literally at the core of every being to be moved and shaped by sound - and I hope with my sounds to inspire inner-beauty (aka beauty in action ... aka peace & real love ;)

I took voice lessons at The Singing Place in Santa Monica, and I highly recommend this company to all singers. If you tell them what you want to sound like, they will get you there (especially my teacher, the talented Kelly Farrell :D), and they will also teach you healthy singing habits that will serve your vocal chords well.

Born in Kenya, I am by default a third-culture child with a very different life perspective. In Kenya I was from America, and in America I am from Africa. Never fully belonging anywhere allows me to belong wherever my feet go, and I share my life-journey through music.
