I'm humbled. I can't believe starting this little project playing underground music that people would listen from almost every country around the globe. From Antartica to Tajikistan and everywhere in between, this little thing called the Internet has connected us through music. It amazes me the tiny pockets of earth that happens to stumble across this project and I've learned so much about culture and geography from it.

Medicine Man - Released in 2022 in honor of my good friend battling cancer. I wanted to provide sound healing through music with something full of love and warmth that ended up going viral in Indonesia. 

Libertad - Released in 2019 to celebrating 20 years since I first laid my hands on Technic 1200 to learn the art form of mixing. Named "Libertad" (Liberty), because of the freedom music has provided in self expression and therapeutic benefits. Those that know me know how reclusive I am and was the first and only artwork to feature yours truly. Over the years I've tried not to make dj'ing about me and instead the music and emotions attached to it. 

Metamorphosis - Released in 2021, this is one of my favorite sets of all time. Inspired by personal transformation, this set goes deep with twists and turns of emotions with a truly global sound.

Twenty years ago after attending many underground parties, I first got my hands on a friends turntables. I was hooked! Soon after I bought a Vestex PMC05 with Technic 1200 MKII’s and I spent hours tucked away learning to spin hard trance, never thinking I would continue to do so 20 years later. It has been my therapy and an artistic outlet. This creative outlet has lead me to explore for countless hours different genres and sounds, learning variations of mixing skills along the way. 

If I could give any advice to new commers it’ this; record whatever you play and listen to it. It will help you perfect your craft. Learn to beat match without autosync. It helps dial in your ear. Learn the timing and perfect the transition. It will bring your sets to life! Tell a story. Figure out where you want to start, where you want to end, where to place your peaks, and when to pull back. Get the blance right. Learning to use trim and EQ will create perfect blends. Lastly, have fun experimenting and don’t give up!

From the desert to the Sunset Strip, Jess has been mixing underground music since 1999. The LA native and now San Diego based artist mixes a wide range of genres fusing old school with new school. Blurring genre boundaries, Jess likes to paint stories with music and take listeners on an emotional journey with ever changing sonic textures with meaningful music. Much of his style is on the darker end of the spectrum with worldly textures, deep grooves, heavy percussion, progressive melodies and big sound. Jess is a big advocate for deep crate digging to find those gems of hidden tracks and white labels from unknown artists. 

Current Supported Genres: Afro House, Organic House, Playa Tech, Progressive, Tribal, Breaks, Trance, Electro Acid , Psy, Goa, and all flavors of Techno.
