Raw and honest as fuck, Goldengate is always an honour to play. Because there is absolutely no dirstraction from the dancefloor and the music, no comfortzone whatsoever. And if the dj and the crowd gets it right, it's a seriously pure rave experience in there, completely lost in space and time. Again and again, for so many years now.

Bäm. Here we go again. After a tremendous VaK Vollversammlung at glamorous Kaufleuten/Zurich, we moved over to a more cosy place called Bagatelle. There I played the very end from 11 in the morning to 3 in the afternoon. And if the bar peeps hadn't had the whole new year-shizzle 4d nonstop-workload intus, we'd have partied even further. After the sintflut, indeed.

I played 5-8 in the afternoon/evening, looking to find a way between deepish afterhour vibes and driving warmup stuff. The journey became quite epic and I'm packed with absolutely perfect memories now. Thanks to all the nice and shiny peeps going the full distance with me  : )

In my opinion it's always a bit tricky to put live-recordings on soundcloud, because no one but the lovers and the dancers of that particular night or day would understand the flow and the changes a dj sets up, and sometimes it's hard to anticipate a real-life set afterwards being home alone. whatsoever, here we go.

Well, at Kater there's that hidden, tiny bar with a small dancefloor and a fairly large chillout area right above the mainfloor. I played this floor for the first time, and I played the opening to the night starting at 1am. 

I decided to really ease in and play a contrasting style of music to the rest of the floors, running pushy and fierce stuff. 

Turned out this was a good descision, because from the first to the last minute of my set the kuckuck was packed with people who appreciated and really enjoyed the smooth and rather slow disco house groove I layed in. Me too  : )

I had the honour to play the last set on the mainfloor (Ballsaal) on that sunday morning between Galloppierende Zuversicht live and Sven Dohse, who was opening up the terrace floor outside after me.

I really apprecciated the sparkling motivation and the patience of the crowd, which made me confident to play some tunes I usually wouldn't play at that time of the day on a mainfloor. I first tried to adapt to the rather electric-techy sound of the previous live act, but then slowly shifted over to some softer but still very much driven house stuff.

Thanks and a huge big up to the Hot und Hü-crew, who keeps the Schatzalp-vibe more than alive!

I had the honour to play the main stage of this ginormous NYE afterparty at Kaufleuten in Zurich on the 1st of january, opening doors at 2pm. 

This event is a deeply rooted tradition for me and my friends, and despite of the huge dimension of 2.5k peepz it still feels like a family gathering. Big up to the VaK crew! It's not easy to maintain this vibe.

I took over from a band that played banging 80ies stuff, so I started from scratch, playing kind of my own little warmup first. I took a rather wild path throughout loads of styles and moods, a real journey. I hope you enjoy!

This is a homerecorded DJ set for Radio X from Basel, Switzerland.

The Basler Fasnacht is a huge Volksfest which is celebrated for three days. As it has become awfully commercial within the last years, Radio X decided to contrast this trend and curated an uncommercial programme during the whole event.

Thank you Radio X – for the fight against mainstream tendencies and for the opportunity to select a set beyond any dancefloor biased demands. It was a pleasure!

This is my set from Hive in Zurich. I played the upper floor into the morning and chose a selection constantly switching between gently driven groove stuff to more demanding, straighter minimal structures.
It got reeeeal hot there, thank you for the splash!

This is my warmup set from 11pm – 2am at Friedas Büxe in Zurich. 

Fortunately, within the first minutes there was a very decent crowd gathering, which brought loads of patience and soul to the floor. Hence the music, or the laidback and deep music hence the crowd...you never know which way round that shit works. All I know is I really did enjoy that ride!

After a fulminant and absolute stunning "10 yrs jubilee VaK Odyssey" that startet on 1.1.2020 at pompous Kaufleuten/Zurich, the crew moved over to a more cosy and familiar place called Longstreet, which is more like a clubby bar. There I did the warmup for another little odyssey...

I started almost a bit dreamy, getting busier and more focused on the floor with every tune.

Thank you everybody for this beautiful and veryvery perfect start into the new shizzle. I'm ready now  ; )
