Jarrad has worked through many facets of the music industry, from radio to clubs, as well as managing some of Africa’s most prolific electronic artists and soon realised that he needed to centralise all aspects of their management, from bookings to A&R, from PR to Publishing, consolidating their administration and working on their brand development. Currently Jarrad is manager to some of the top tier and developing electronic acts from South Africa, as well as A&R for labels such as Get Physical, Label owner of Bantwanas, he is also working on projects to develop local talent. He has shared platforms with some of the most respected individuals in electronic music at conferences such as ADE (Amsterdam Dance Event), given guest talks at colleges such as SAE and continues to contribute and collaborate to grow the South African scene.

On May 7th, 2021, prolific South African born, Greece-based DJ and producer Kostakis and popular South African act, Diamond Thug, will release their epic collaboration, ‘The Woods’, on rising South African label Jetblack Music. 

Drawing on the original's haunting vocals and beautifully composed chord progression, the collaboration between the electronic and indie worlds of Kostakis and Diamond Thug opens up a new realm of accessibility to a diverse audience, capturing its essence whilst allowing a new listenership to enjoy its subtle sensibilities.

November 22nd 2019 sees rising South African DJs Chynaman, Kususa & Argento Dust team up with Black Coffee collaborator/vocalist, Azola, to deliver their stunning debut single, ‘Just Love’.

The newly established trio have already garnered early support from the likes of Kollektiv Turmstrasse, Guy Mantzur, Mathias Kaden, Horse Meat Disco, DJ T. and fellow South African DJs Themba, Shimza and the highly respected house pioneer Black Coffee, plus featured alongside Black Coffee on the cover of the UK’s leading dance title Mixmag as well as performed a sold-out gig at Hï Ibiza. 

Independently, the trio have experienced their own individual success across Africa and abroad and despite previous smaller collaborations between the artists, this is the first time that the Durban based trio have joined together on a single track.

Fusing hypnotic tribal rhythm with swelling atmospherics, this masterful original mix allows Azola’s soulful vocals to glide majestically in-between the foundation of the track’s bellowing choral synths and percussion. The track’s steady pulse remains consistent throughout whilst the dub mix carries an edgy, afro-tech sound. ‘Just Love’ fluctuates between delicate vocal interludes and roaring magnitude, all the while driving into a final deafening crescendo.

‘Just Love Ft. Azola’ will be available everywhere on November 22nd 2019 via Jet Black Music.
