The Frankfurt-based indie folk band Jetlagged invites listeners on a musical journey with their debut EP Roadtrip — a heartfelt exploration of emotional landscapes, moments of awe in nature, and the depths of the human experience. Across six evocative songs, themes of departure, new beginnings, and the search for one’s place in the world unfold.
The title track "Roadtrip", written during a journey through the USA, captures feelings of freedom, wanderlust, and the quiet intimacy between two travelers with poetic imagery and vivid soundscapes. "My Way" is a touching acoustic ballad about losing and finding oneself — driven by mantra-like guitar patterns and a powerful voice that leads from darkness into light.
"Sunrise" reflects the magic of morning: hope, stillness, and renewal shimmer through gentle guitars and rich musical textures. "Tree of Life" delves into life’s existential questions — growth, decay, and the legacy we leave behind — conveyed with lyrical symbolism. "The Pond" and its instrumental version bring the EP to a meditative close, inspired by a longing for harmony with nature and oneself.
With Roadtrip, Jetlagged blend memorable melodies with thoughtful lyrics, organic production, and emotional authenticity. Their sound moves fluidly between indie folk, acoustic pop, and Americana — a soundtrack for adventurers, dreamers, and all travelers on the road of life.
