A friend's courageous struggle with adversity inspired Keep On Going, but the song's message of perseverance is meant for anyone who has felt pummeled by life.

We recorded initial tracks at a friend's studio in the fall of 2021, but the song remained unfinished for over a year due to scheduling complications. Over a year later, The JetSet picked up where we left off, finishing production of the song ourselves.

Jet Set is a Chicago-based duo built around the singing and songwriting of Al Engelmann and Joanne McMahon. Their music combines elements of folk, rock and pop.

Al and Joanne first met at the Old Town School of Folk Music in Chicago. The name Jetset is an homage to their “chance” re-connection when they bumped into each other again a few years later, seated next to each other on the same flight.

Al and Joanne met while attending songwriting classes at Old Town School of Folk Music in Chicago. They have been collaboratively writing and recording original music together since 2019.

The JetSet write songs with lyrics that are moving, sincere, sarcastic and witty. Their musical style is rooted in classic American rock and pop from the 70’s and 80’s, drawing inspiration from diverse musical influences both past and present. They exude a fun, unpredictable and creative energy whenever they create music together that makes listening to them captivating and engaging.
