2009 was a bitch. 

Last year JETSKIIS was formed by a singer living under house arrest, a bassist without a valid mailing address, two recently unemployed drummers, and a guitarist in the midst of a gender epiphany. 

Comprised of members of San Francisco’s New Centuries and Send for Help, JETSKIIS brought their adversities to the studio to be forged into the new album Spraycation, recorded by Jeremy Black of Apollo Sunshine. 

During the recording sessions, JETSKIIS focused on texture and atmosphere to develop their Island Grunge sound. Blending polyrhythmic grooves and reverb drenched melodies, the songs swing from deeply laid back to aggressive and raw. A mixture of Roxy Music pop art and the Meters’ driving funk, Spraycation reaches beneath the surface of the compromised modern life to find glory and sublimation.
