PREMIERE - Leave All Things

Courage is about taking a leap of faith when you are in the depths of your internal battles. It is about reflecting on your past, accepting your mistakes, and changing in order to add more light into your life. This is a broken-beat, experimental tune with bass and garage-inspired sounds. Its driving force is its beautiful piano melodies, gracefully steered by grungy drums.

PREMIERE - Courage

The EP's title track is intense, hard-hitting techno, playing with a beautiful blend of smooth electric guitars. This EP is dedicated to my Granpa Louis Algios and I wrote this song in honor of him. He always said to get the job done and do it well, so this one is for you Grandpa. I know you are still with us and I just hope the world will see how great of a human you are through this song.

Less than ten years after packing up their bags to leave their hometown of New York City for a new life in Washington, D.C, Tara Algios (a.k.a the DJ and producer Jett Chandon) has cemented themselves as one of the hardest working artists in the city’s competitive, ever-evolving scene. As a DJ, Algios found a home as a resident DJ and at the world-renowned warehouse party ROAM, where they help organize some of the most forward-thinking events in the region, and shared the decks with some of the industry's most skilled selectors. Always looking to push their own boundaries and lean into challenges, they are also a resident DJ at a second roaming club night in D.C, the experimental bass-driven allnighter L.E.N.G. Jett Chandon provides a raw
and different perspective towards techno music. They have a second EP out now titled Song For Louis available for pre-order and releases December 10th, 2021 on all music platforms.

Hot Cakes - Jett Chandon 2step Mix

I recorded this mix at our LAVAradio show Nov. 7th 2025, the day after the election. I didn’t want to play and really wanted to cancel the show because I was in deep confusion and mourning like so many of us. I was going back and forth on wanting to put this mix out but had this “whatever” mindset. 

Fast forward till now, so much has happened. I revisit this mix and realized that this encapsulates what I was experiencing emotionally at the time and what a lot of us may be experiencing now. It takes you through all the stages of mourning - grief, fear, sadness, defeat, joy, perseverance, hope and pure anger. 

What we are witnessing here in this country is appalling and everyday feels heavy with no end. I can’t even find the right words to describe it without feeling utter disgust and confusion. The most important thing right now is community. Like minded individuals that will help each other glow - otherwise it’s a fuck no.

Anti-fascism, anti-war, anti-racism, anti-musk, anti-genocide, anti-transphobia & homophobia, anti-classism, anti-capitalism, respect our veterans, exercise your 1st amendment right, respect and love each other. 

Oh yea and fuck fear mongering too.

I hope this mix inspires you to really let go, stay close to loved ones and connect with community. Stay true to who you are and express what ever the fuck you want.

A decade after not being cast in her college's production of Beauty and the Beast later, Long Island, NY-born and Washington, DC area-residing DJ, producer and vocalist Jett Chandon has emerged as a creative force on the rise. Dropping the chip on her shoulder onto the dance floor has caused a funky sonic boom that's resonated with techno and UK garage fanatics worldwide.

Chandon's aim is to blend fanatic dance culture fandom with a knack for selections that intriguingly merge time, space and place. She's honed this skill by spinning alongside artists whose legacies she respects and talents she values like US dubstep DJ godfather Joe Nice, breakthrough UK garage legend MJ Cole, and other top names including Clicks and Whistles, Swindle, DJ EZ, Jack Beats, Peverlist, Kowton, and more. These opportunities have opened both eyes and ears, leading to her first monthly broadcast slot on vaunted portal Transit.fm.

Her talents exist past the turntables, too. Between her operatic vocal training, and skill in both musical theory and modern dance, she's multi-faceted and making surges as a producer and artist. Her multi-faceted skillset and passion to connect people via music manifests itself in her artistic motivations as she notes that "[she] believes that bass music is a foundation that holds a resonance like no other and without it, there is no structure to tell a story." 

In discovering techno and UK garage as the best ways to both be and love herself, Jett Chandon's sound and style has allowed her to begin establishing her own unique standard of excellence.
