"RE•MIND is a solo exhibition by Cassidy Fritts that explores the subject of memory: how it’s stored, lives with our brains, is activated, and shapes our existence. Using the human figure, text, and a variety of mediums and found surfaces, the work is meant to question and seek to understand how memories are formed and preserved within ourselves; to reflect on personal experiences and the intangible nature of recollection."

Put so much effort and thought into this one. Hours of prep and finished late around 5am a few weeks ago. This mix was curated for TacoBurrito Miss.Sweet.Tea (IG) to groove to and uplift the spirits of all us in quarantine. Not my official quarentine mix but something to get us by until then.

For my long term friend Jessikah I put this mix together in efforts to help her grieve her late father.  Ive known Jessikah since I was in elementary, so it was a real honor to be able to do this for her. Her specifications included that it be 6/10 
sad, have sone rap, and include the Bee Gee's her father's favorite band. Although, it needed to be sad there also needed to be light at the end of tunnel and end on a optimistic note.  Worked hard to try and maintain that balance and make sure Death Cab was involved them being a staple of our friendship. She loved it, hope you do too! Thank you Sweets!!!

For Alex's set the challenges included it being predominately all instrumental and include Jazz so she can enjoy it while writing for work. 
Mixing Jazz, or a lot of multiple types of non dance music isn't always the easiest to work with especially when you do it like this. When Alex requested Jazz and Nicholas Jaar I knew she was looking for flavor. Apart from the Chile/Ethiopian vibe, had to visit Japan,Italy, and wherever Sun Ra is from. A complex dish indeed, tried not to do too too much so that Alex can write and not be thrown off, but not bored enough to fall asleep. Light chants enter, dance chants exit. Thank you Alex.

Alex has already requested her 2nd mix, so im happy.
