This was the first song we wrote together. We started out real simple and did a ton of recordings. We were also trying to figure out recording at the same time as putting the music together. It is not about anyone or anything in particular, but more of an attempt to write a "pop" type song. Not sure we accomplished that, but, it's not bad for the first song out.

Nick was experimenting with different loops and beats that had an industrial kind of feel. I had these lyrics that dealt with bridging two hearts together. It started to fall into place when we came up with the idea that there could be a literal bridge between the two people and use the industrial sound as the bridge actually getting built. It makes more sense when you listen to the song. Nick also plays saxophone in this song.

We always seem to be planning, scheduling, whatever, that we forget that things are happening now. Kids seem to get this. No matter what they just do when it happens. I had these lyrics written in a couple of different places and sort of pieced together this song. Nick and I were messing around with all the crazy effects while recording the guitars and vocals and, well, it sounded pretty cool, so we kept at it. I should mention that the original lyrics started with, " Girls today, don't leave much to the imagination. It's a shame, I feel like I'm losing my infatuation". After hearing Nick sing these lyrics I felt it best to rewrite them to be more appropriate, but I do like the original first line.

Live In The Moment

"Diamonds & Rust" is a song written by Joan Baez. It was written in November 1974 and released in 1975. We also enjoy the Judas Priest version as well. Actually, to be honest, we heard the Judas Priest version first. We use their version which has edited lyrics.

I've Had Enough

I wrote this song about when I first moved to Boston. The first apartment I had was in Kenmore Square across from Narcissus or what is now the BU Library. It was a great time to be living in the city. My band had a regular gig at "The Rat" (also gone) and just living in the city was good enough at the time, making new friends and creating new adventures - we were bold, fearless and in love with the idea of being artists.
