Audiojack return to Gruuv, with their huge Release Yourself EP. On the A side, Somebody represents a yearning for affection, while EP title track and B side Release Yourself represents getting that affection. Somebody is a nostalgic nod to Audiojack’s love of speed garage and other bass driven music during the heady party days of the 90s, while Release Yourself is a happy evolving groover with the summer dancefloors in mind.

Both tracks have been doing the business on the dancefloor, with support from DJs like Chris Lake, Jamie Jones, Skream, Marco Faraone, Archie Hamilton, Junior Sanchez, Huxley, Santé, Hannah Wants, Timo Maas, Groove Armada, Paco Osuna and Friend Within, and radio support from DJs like Danny Howard on BBC Radio 1 and Leftwing: Kody on Kiss FM.

Audiojack’s 90s Dreamin’ EP samples some throwbacks to their youth, when hip-hop featured prominently on the speakers. “We made 90s Dreamin’ as a secret weapon for the end of our own DJ sets, and after a year of airplay and tracklist requests, it’s time to release it. No Biggie is another familiar throwback we made to get the dancefloor moving earlier in a set.” 

The EP is out now on Gruuv, with support from DJs including Marco Carola, Hector Couto, Riva Starr, Jamie Jones, Huxley, Lo Steppa, and Hannah Wants.

Based in Leeds, Jey Kurmis has an individual sound that he has established through several EPs on some of the most acclaimed labels worldwide. After his artists defining first EP on Hot Creations, Jey has continued his portfolio with a wealth of releases on Moon Harbour and several more EP’s signed to Hot Creations with others throughout the years on more niche labels such as Kaluki, Leftroom, Material and many more. Jey has set a precedent for himself continually bringing out a sound unlike any other. 

With the support and backing from some of the biggest names in the industry including Jamie Jones, Adam Beyer, Matthias Tanzmann, Patrick Topping, Solardo and many more, Jey has returned to the studio and with several EP’s already in the pipleline, this is set to be a defyning time for his talent.
