Calling all the Ladies, gentlemen and bassheads around the world. Have we got a treat for you with this latest 'Jungle Cakes' release of 'Welcome to the Jungle'. We've taken 90 tracks. That's right, 90 tracks of absolute bangers and handed them over to our very own JFB to mix, scratch and quite frankly, do what he does best with. Originally from Brighton, JFB is a 3 x world dmc dj champion, so it goes without saying that when asked to do a 'Welcome to the jungle' album, he went all out. Armed with 2 turntables and a bucket load of skills, JFB takes massive hits like 'King of the Bongo and Bad Boys by Ed Solo and Deekline, Home Grown by Beat Assassins and 10 Steps by Kleu & solo and puts his very own spin on them. (pardon the pun). Other hits on the album include 'Redline the system' by 'Morty & Jax' with some seriously heavy bassline and some wicked vocals. 'Shine On' by 'Origin8a, Propa & Benny Page', 3 pioneers of DnB all on one track. And 'Balang Beng' by 'Punky Donch', adding some high tempo jungle to the mix. Live DJ set recorded at Lakota, Bristol, at the Thick Boy Records takeover at Tribe of Frog's 2024 Halloween rave. We performed with Kathika but sadly her mic wasn't being recorded. But the badass Gandalf queen was there nonetheless, and we were both dressed as Gandalf! It was Gandalf b2b Gandalf ft Gandalf! And MY GOD did we bring the energy, that balrog didn't know what hit it.

MERKÄTA - TRIBE OF FROG - FEB 2025

Drum and Bass with Didgeridoo bassline and grooves, Australian Kookaburra's and whipbirds as well as Tibetain bowls and chants throughout. This track gives a deep and mystical feel while also rolling with dnb steps to put you into a trance and a dreamtime state. Yidaki is the Aboriginal word for didgeridoo in eastern Arnhem Land in the Northern Territory of Australia, among the Yolngu Matha-speaking people who call themselves Yolngu.
This combination birthed the name for this track "Yidaki Steppa" I hope you enjoy!
