Tribal Bass is an umbrella term for all music with a downtempo feel and a breaking groove, that combines progressive sound design with organic elements and deep sub-bass. PsyDub, GlitchHop, post dubstep, deep-step, global beats, ethnic trap, world bass, neuro-funk, raga-bass, hard-wave, farmer-trap, ... you name it, if it slaps and it represents the globalized music community it can be part of our co-creation.

For Mabon (the "end of summer" celebration) we'd like to surrender to the water and the West, the cooling down and finding direction, the becoming soft and starting a journey within again, reaching for the stillness and cool down of winter times. "Into The Flow" is a representation of accepting the cycles and flow of life, and understanding the flow of sound, our bodies and nature.

Tribal Steps Vol. 2 is a sequel of an ancient story which flows in us since the beginning of time. This is a story about invoking the entelechy of our ancestors for guidance so that humankind can evolve in their destined path. The soundtrack of the "archaic revival" is calling to us - perfectly balanced between organic and electronic forms of sound, channeling the ancient notion of interconnectedness with nature, as well as a contemporary psychedelic approach to dance music. Musicians from all over the world got together to express the melody which is singing in their souls, reverberating through the vast channels of collective consciousness. This is an adventurous journey through various tempos, styles, and melodies, but there is an everlasting and unifying force at the core of this release - love.

This is my attempt to create a 30 sec. soundtrack for this years Adam Audio Competition based on the photo described above. 

My initial vibe from looking at this photo was someone spying on someone; or waiting for a moment to see someone or see something happened. Therefore, I realised that I would need to compose something that evoked warmth, suspense and so on... The challenge was trying to create something and/or tell a story with this much time (30sec) and I must admit that is the hard bit. 

But hey, hope you enjoy! Good luck to all contestants out there!
