This is a bit sinister and dark in a Hitchcock kind of way, the music a perfect soundtrack for a developing plot; are the characters going to fall in love knowing they are a match, each being equally armed? Or will they walk away calling it a draw before any blades are brandished? I read suspense, maybe a dark suspense, but unresolved.

I love the voice in the instrumental theme, great track.

This song grabs me. The arrangement creates a deep sonic atmosphere. The delicate piano playing is splendid.

I had a track called "Drops" by then, I kept going back to it and was never satisfied with the changes I did to improve certain parts in it I took the scissor and CUT.., So yes, not a true metamorphosis but close enough ...,  :) ! Hope you enjoy anyway

Waiting at my Window

Lately I started trusting my intuition and exploring the symbols around me. I came to the conclusion, that if I had looked at the symbolism of things (animals, signs, plants...) more often in my life, I might have avoided some difficult relationships and demanding times. When I wrote this song I had to think of an old, dusty attic full of old books, candles and bottles with little ships inside...

''I could have lived differently" describes the discrepancy between society's expectations and individual dreams and desires. Deep, clean sounds of the cello form the basis for an emotional and building violin melody creating a harmonious, cinematic string composition full of hope, that is characterized by Middle Eastern/Asian influences. I play acoustic violin here and also added cello lines.

The story behind it:
‘In my life, I was always at a crossroads. Between interests and pursuing my dreams and what society and family wants me to do. I could have lived differently. It is about the story of all the people who decide not to be like everyone else in the world. They have the courage to live differently the way they want to live. This is for those who say I will live differently if I go back in time. They go to their dreams without fear; however, Modern life and the world community make all people a completely identical  version and do not respect the different talents of individuals.’

I've been making music with Pedro Castro since 1972. At the time, we created the alternative rock band Petrus Castrus. The music I'm placing here are just the home recordings of ongoing projects and ideas. I created a few playlists (Inéditos) according to language (PO - Portuguese; EN - English; SP - Spanish; FR - French; IT - Italian), and also for concept albums (Três Jardins). There are two long tracks (Mediterrâneo and Isaías) for full concept albums. A playlist called Synergies gathers the collaboration projects with other musicians in the fantastic SoundCloud community.
