Il nous a semblé assez logique, au vue de la large mobilisation de cette manif du 9 avril, si on veut vraiment combattre sérieusement ce projet de loi, appelé Loi Macron, qu’il était nécessaire de poser la question du lendemain. Ce micro-trottoir s’est mené comme une quête, de manière un peu détournée mais aussi de façon très ludique et très naïve. Nous avons abordé les manifestants avec une seule question : "Je cherche le point de rdv de la manif de demain ?". Certains ont compris ce que nous insinuions et ont joué, d’autres ont botté en touche nous dirigeant vers leurs dirigeants. Un petit jeu qui nous a donné envie de continuer à aborder de vraies questions et pas unquement avec nos proches. Ce petit jeu nous le reproduirons très certainement.

"Minnesota (507), Wisconsin (262), and Iowa (641)" is an excerpt taken from Brandon Locher's forthcoming and final installment of his decade-long (started in 2006) sound art project 'Conversations', due to be released in full in 2018.

This collection of recordings finds Locher producing over 5+ hours of new recordings from all 48 Continental United States, consisting of one single serial chain of phone calls. The initial confused answerer is recorded and then used to playback in a new call to another randomized receiver. That person's response is then taped and played back for another confused recipient, over and over, State to State...
