With a love for the underground and an affinity for deep, dark, grimy basslines, J.F.Killah is on a mission to spread her sounds worldwide. On the decks since 2005, she has acquired an arsenal of beats and is armed to destroy any dance floor. Be it sundown or sun-up, festival or club, she will hold you emotionally encapsulated with sounds that resonate within your soul. With classical training on the keys and in music theory, she is able to utilize her understanding of key, emotion, and the power of sound to deliver musically dynamic and powerful performances.

A member of SHAHdjs and Dnb Girls, her junglist roots play a key role in her sets but she plays a variety of genres depending on the time and place. Her relentless skills have earned her slots opening for some of the biggest names in the game including Goldie, S.P.Y., Ivy Lab, Ed Rush & Optical, Delta Heavy, Camo & Krooked, Excision, and Dimond Saints to name a few. J.F.Killah has graced the decks in Europe, New Zealand, United States, Central America and performed at several Canadian festivals including Shambhala, Bass Coast, and Rifflandia. Recently shifting focus to production, she’s been killin’ it in the studio as one half of the production duo Levrige, which has releases on Hospital, Vandal Ltd. Aufect Recordings, The Dreamers, Shadow Trix, East Van Digital and Black Tuna Recordings. Get ready for murdah because the Killah slays it every time!

ALL CREW Session - Vol 7 - J.F.Killah

This is a re-recording of my set from the Cedar Lounge at Shambhala Music Festival 2022, where I closed the stage from 3-4:30am the final night of the party. Shambhala was the first music festival and electronic music event I ever attended in 2001 and getting to play my own set for the first time this year meant a lot to me. In this set I explore multiple genres ranging from 120-140 bpm on a dark grimy tip, I hope you enjoy! Thank you to the Grove Stage for having me and to everyone who checked out my set <3

J.F.Killah 🔥✨🔥 Audio Social Mix Series 025

Spring is in the air and this mix was inspired by the anticipation of festival season being just around the corner. This mix covers numerous genres with the thought of playing to a festival dance floor in mind. 

Jenn’s selections for this mix do not disappoint, they put you into an elated hyper state which we promise will get you excited for the magic in which festival season has in store for us. The Audio Social crew have been long-time fans of J.F.Killah, we have all thrown down at many of her sets and she played our favorite set of the summer last year at Shambhala. A fun fact about this selectress and producer is she grew up playing the piano and completed certification through the Royal Conservatory of Music. HOW COOL IS THAT?! Her being classically trained definitely translates into her mixes. Although Jenn is known to play dark and grime-y tunes, all of it is melodic, which blend flawlessly together. 

We have seen an evolution in J.F.Killah over the past few years. When she first started Djing she exclusively played Drum n Bass and Jungle, but her style has evolved to playing tons of genres. She credits this new evolution to being exposed to a wide variety of sounds while attending festivals and events and being inspired by other artists and producers. 

Jenn inspires us and we can’t wait to see what she brings to the festival scene this summer.

So far in 2020 they've released tracks on @deviant-audio and @thedreamersrecordings, and a DJ mix via @footwork-jungle. 
 
J.F.Killah always catches our attention with her multi-genre solo DJing, bouncing through all bpms. Her set at Pastel Party in East Van at The Rattle early in 2019 was so bumpin’, after we dismounted from straddling the speakers we knew we had to ask her to record a LiT MIX. Lucky us her answer was this 40-track trip through dancehall and booty bass, baile funk and footwork-jungle… buckle up!
