For five years back in the heady 80s, Royal Ottawa (as Bugs Harvey Oswald) headlined gigs from Dublin’s venerable Ivy Rooms to NYC’s CBGB and Danceteria. They opened for The Fall, The Stray Cats, and The Ramones.
 
In the 90’s and 00’s, Royal Ottawa’s gaze turned inward, always absorbing but never imitating, as musical kingdoms rose and fell, as they crafted and refined a sound that was at once familiar and hauntingly alien.
 
Now, ready for their close-up, Royal Ottawa present “The World We Know” - eleven sonic landscapes of melancholy and loss, redemption and love. Recorded in Snowbank, Ontario and mastered for vinyl at Abbey Road Studios by Frank Arkwright.
