The last release of 2021 is coming on HouseU, what can't be different from a traditional Best of Earth n Days compilation album.
Since the launch of the labelboss Earth n Days we present a compilation of the formation's singles and remixes from the calendar year. This is how we value their yearly work. We can say proudly, that the Hungarian DJ/producer duo became determining member of the House music society and they are showing much more year to year.
This year they released 8 singles and 7 remixes on high noted record labels like Armada, Toolroom, Milk & Sugar, Altra Moda, and of course their own ones, There Was Jack and HouseU Records.
We collected 12 of these tunes, such as: The Change, What You Feel or Let The Groove.
This time we would love to say thank you for all the people who follow and support the label's work, releases week to week. Special thanks to our talented and kind artists for the patient and outstanding performance in these tough times.
Last but not least, we are really grateful for those labels, who helped us to release 'Best of Earth n Days 2021'.

Anjunadeep welcomes German DJ & producer Rezident, A.K.A David Roif, back to the label with his three-track EP ‘On Fire’.

Since first featuring on ‘Anjunadeep Explorations 13’, the young German producer released his 2020 ‘Chapters EP’ which has amassed 2.2M streams across DSPs to date, and more recently released his remix of ‘Erase’, taken from Ben Böhmer’s sophomore album ‘Begin Again’. The track was first featured on flagship label compilation ‘Anjunadeep 13’ earlier this year and has seen widespread support including from Sian Eleri of BBC Radio 1, as well as clocking over 500 spins on SiriusXM Chill.

In typical Rezident fashion, ‘Fire EP’ is a sophisticated and elegant example of melodic house at its finest. Evocative melodies and swelling synths are underpinned by crisp, powerful percussion that gives a feeling of momentum across the release. This is most prominent in the broken, rolling drums of title track ‘On Fire’, complimented by the vocals of Space Cadet.

Cephas Azariah is an Indian-born British composer and artist. Spending the past 5 years writing primarily for film and TV, Cephas has an impressive list of credits including composition work for PUMA, Soho House and Channel 4 as well as scores for award-winning short films including 'WRANGLER', a highlight of 2021's Cannes Film Festival.

Marking his debut solo release on Reflections, Cephas Azariah shares his new single 'Lunar Tides'; the lead single from his forthcoming EP of the same name. Inspired by the likes of Ólafur Arnalds and Tony Anderson, Cephas' compositions are a delicate blend of classical notes, electronic phrases and string embellishments. Self-coined ‘music for contemplation', Cephas' brand of ambient music has the sole intention of bringing peace and serenity to the listener's space.

Leaving Laurel has announced their sophomore album ‘when the quiet comes’ will land May 19 via Anjunadeep, with the first single ‘one last thing you never said’ out now. The announcement marks a new chapter for band members Gordon Huntley and Griff Fulton following the difficult loss of Pierce Fulton, whose talent and passion were immortalised in Leaving Laurel’s acclaimed self-titled 2020 debut album. 

There is a unique songwriting process central to ‘when the quiet comes’; a reflective record awash with warm piano, inviting textural percussion, and delicate melodies. As Huntley discovered recordings laid down by himself and Pierce years prior, he was driven to continue what they had started. Like seeds planted in the winter, forgotten musical ideas emerged and flourished, providing a cathartic sense of closure for Huntley and a new musical beginning for the band: 
“Who do we become when we’re alone? When the story is over, and we've acknowledged the silence - that's when the quiet comes.

Making this record was my search to find purpose after Pierce passed. It was a light to show me a way forward. A way for me to grieve, a way for me to hold onto the memories. A eulogy to my friend.

This is the album I always hoped Pierce and I would make together one day. It's my attempt to continue the dream we had, to take what we had started with our first album to a secret place beyond the club. To make a soundtrack for the moments where everything stands still. A record that could showcase the culmination of every unique influence we shared as friends. A record that could be important enough to outlive us both. A record that I hope would have made him proud.

It’s the hardest I’ve worked on anything in my entire life, and the proudest I've ever been of any music I've made. If the road for leaving laurel were to end here, I know I gave it my all. I created something with the pieces of what Pierce and I had started, and it feels like the most honest album I could show to the world.”

A tale of two old friends, Gordon and Pierce, Leaving Laurel connected the duo musically for the first time after being close friends for almost a decade. Since their debut release in 2020, the duo have garnered a fervent fanbase and widespread support. Their recently released EP, ‘fireflies (for as far as we could see)’, received an overwhelmingly warm reception from fans and tastemakers alike, including Black Coffee, Sultan + Shepard and David Hohme, as well as further radio support from BBC Radio 1 and SiriusXM.

Anjunabeats favourite Amy Wiles joins forces with rising talent Leena Punks on ‘Sweet Feeling’.

Amy Wiles started her DJ career at 16, and has played for us at Group Therapy 450, Tomorrowland, Creamfields, The Warehouse Project and at Anjunabeats club nights across London. She’s racked up over 1M streams on Spotify on her debut single, ‘Biding Time’, which was released in June 2021 as part of the Anjunabeats Rising series, and has remixed Above & Beyond, Kyau & Albert, Farius and gardenstate. 

This year, Amy dropped her remix of Tenth Planet’s ‘Ghosts’ with Boxer and supported Above & Beyond at iconic London venue Printworks. She’s set to follow that up with an appearance at Above & Beyond’s Group Therapy Weekender festivities at The Gorge on July 21-23, Anjunabeach Brighton, and more. Leena Punks made her Anjunabeats debut with ‘On The Floor’ as part of our Rising EP series last year. This year, Leena dropped a single on SUB-X Recordings, two singles on Material Music and remixed Le Youth’s ‘Chills’.
