"Madeline Steinberg’s voice may be saccharine, but her exasperation is hardly veiled as she opens the record over Zoe Camp’s steadying bassline: “This one time you asked me if we could go for a ride / this one time I told you you’re not on my mind.” It sounds like a clear rejection letter, but ambivalence seeps into her voice, and soon she’s telling the other party to “take me away” over Miguel Gallego’s soft supporting vocals."

Drug Pizza are a four piece from NYC who formed whilst all working at the same radio station. Having snuck in out of hours to record their first EP (released in 2013), they've finally returned with a follow up - Return to Content Mountain - which marks a (slightly) more refined side to the slacker jams of their debut.

The band are previewing the EP with 'No Reaction' - a chugging Weezer-indebted pop song where singer Madeline Steinberg goes from not caring about someone breaking their arm to vowing to carve their name into her body. Jury's out on whether it's the same person.

The band describe the EP's themes as obsession, self-defeat, power, and anxiety and across the 5 tracks they definitely put in a good attempt at tackling each one whilst throwing in a whole range of influences (as you would expect from a band that met whilst working at a radio station). As well as the band's listed influences (Sleater-Kinney, Television, Pixies, Nancy Sinatra) there are pepperings of Pavement throughout and as Sinister on their last release showed, they've been doing that whole Diet Cig thing long before they started plotting world domination.

The EP is set for release on 18 March 2016 and will be jointly released by Art is Hard (UK) and Negative Fun (US).

From the Sounds Inside is a digital-only album by John Frusciante, released exclusively through the internet in 2001. The album was free to download from his official website and includes material recorded during the To Record Only Water for Ten Days era of his solo career, most of which remained unmixed or unfinished. No track titles were given originally, which has given rise to songs appearing under different names in different sources. The album was named by fans through a contest in 2001. The album's title was a result of a voting among fans, where it won with 36%. Two other titles, "2001 Internet Album" and "Live Above Hell" received 35% and 29% of votes.
