I performed over the weekend at a local pub doing some cover songs.  The recording picked up a lot of the ambience of the bar's patrons, but I think it's great.  It's almost part of the music.  I was accompanied by Tim on the drums.

Every song that we play is exciting to hear just as if it was the first time we played them.  The Pretenders are an amazing band that we love and without doubt truly a great band to cover!!!!  This was performed live in front of a live audience at The Vu in Santa Clarita on July 12, 2014.

My little sweets

One of my favorite old time late 70's songs from Mr. David Bowie of which I always loved growing up!  This was the dawn of the New Wave era I think...  Anyhow, it was before the 80's.  This is recorded live at the Venice Bistro on May 4, 2012 using a small Olympus Digital recorder.

This by far is the best cover to play in a cover band like XHIBITA.  Listen to how the audience (at least one guy) loves us!!!!  The energy is vibrant and thought the song is simple, yet it's got a driving punch to it!!!!  Kings Of Leon have always been a favorite of mine their songs early on really made them unique!!!  Kings Of Leon showed the world how an Indie band can really become a huge success!!!!

This particular song 'Yellow' was a compiled effort of which I found a midi file and I imported it into Garageband!  So, thanks to those who made the efforts.  And a big thank you to Apple for allowing me to be creative!!!!  It's hard to believe that I covered this song about 3 years ago.  Used an iPad 1st Gen with Garageband and then finished it in Garageband on a 11" MacBook Air.

This is an early recording of a band originally formed in North Hollywood in 1992 in which Ken Sogabe (Drums), Marcus Gonzales (Bass), and Joe Gocobachi (Guitar/voice) would start going into their own brand of music that was fun.  We played a few venues here and there with the setup, but Ken pursued other dreams while Marcus and Joe continued onward...this recording resurrection is dedicated to my band mates!

A track I came up with this tune just to have for a background in a either a tense love scene or maybe just a breaking point of a relationship scene.  Either way, this is just a sample of what I can do on the fly!  The lyrics was all adlib.  I try to stay away from doing any kind of synth sounds but this was fun and it was late at night and I felt really creative!

My Solace

This is from a band I worked with years ago - they shall remain nameless for now.  Anyhow, this was all recorded on very simple setup using ProTools with lots of plug-ins and an old Apple G5 eMac...I am not kidding, this was done way back when...  I finally converted over to a MacBook Pro which was one of the Intel chipset based Mac's produced and I was able to capture this moment.

This Little Girl

I wrote the music to this and my friend Kirby Gray sang it.  This song was about how it is so difficult sometimes to stay up above water and trying to get through the rough days.  At least that was my thought of this song when we created it.

Can't Keep It Up

In addition to being a full time dad to all my children, I am an IT (Information Technology) Professional that also moonlights as a musician - I have grown up to music and played music for ever!!!  Anyhow, these collections of sounds are either projects I am working on or idea's to put on the cloud for reference.
