Jhawani Smalls was born on July 5, 1980 in Norfolk, Virgina.  A manic-depressive who was a product of poverty and instability, Jhawani moved to NC for good and found a new passion in the Hip-Hop Culture when he was 9 years old. At 11, Jhawani released his first "album" titled THE RAW... within his surrounding neighborhoods and began performing at talent shows and opening for acts within a year. By 15, Jhawani began his DJ career with a catalogue of mixtapes which led to a late night weekend show on WRVS FM 4 years later. In 1996, Jhawani established ECG GunnOfficial, a southern division of the New York based movement, B.Y.G. (Black Youth Gunnshoot).  In 2006, Jhawani signed his first label deal with SAE Records, which resulted in a series of mixtapes under the title Ghettocratic,as well as features on Stelo Brown's "Portion of Life" and "Say No More" albums.   After 3 years, Jhawani left SAE as an artist, but remained a vital part of the label as a creative consultant of sorts, as well as a producer under the sub-company, Die-Hardz Prod. Jhawani has since released numberous mixtapes and featured on multiple projects and has much more to come...though he remains unsigned
