Yubik & Mark Hoffen - Noise In Between (Snippet) [Radikon]

2019 gets off to a massive start at Manual Music, as the Dutch label welcomes back Rauschhaus to the label after his earlier shared EP with PHCK- and his remix for label head Paul Hazendonk which were both released in 2017.

The German producer doesn't fly solo this time, as he has teamed up with talented Ecuadorian producer V-Cious who you might know from his earlier releases on labels such as Parquet Recordings and KDB.

And that's not all, because on the EP's title track 'Boy' the duo worked with Australian vocalist Haptic who's discography is quite an impressive one, as he has collaborated with artists such as Several Definitions, Riesen, Third Son, Simon Doty, Daryn Vlys, AFFKT, Audio Junkies, Marc DePulse and many others!

The beautiful, moody and mysterious 'Boy' comes in the original mix and a remix by Germany's rising star Renga Weh (3000 Grad Records / Lauter Unfug), whilst the more than worthy "b-side" track titled 'People Under The Stars' gets remixed by Argentinian progressive house maestro Antrim.

All in all it's clear that Manual Music continues the new year where they've ended the previous one; pushing quality underground electronic music, as they have done so since 2005.

The 73rd release on Darin Epsilon's Perspectives Digital begins 2020 with the sparkling "So Corrupted" from Mehmet Akar. A pair of outstanding remixes by veteran producers Sezer Uysal and Nihil Young and Talal complete the EP.

A producer with a rich artistic pedigree, Mehmet Akar quickly found himself making a sizeable impression in the underground dance fraternity. After success with his "Deep Sounds" and "2nd Resurrection" radio shows, the Turkish producer has hit the headlines with over 150 track credits for some of the industry's finest imprints. Moreover, as a winner of Sasha's "Cut Me Down" remix competition and a 2011 release on Last Night On Earth, Akar has gone on to see his music feature on Global Underground, Beatfreak Recordings, and Outside The Box. Making his debut as part of the "ADE 2017 Sampler", Mehmet Akar returns to Perspectives Digital with the mesmerizing "So Corrupted".

Both successful high-profile artists in their own rights, Nihil Young and Talal have found further achievement as a creative duo. Over 1 million streams of his track "Align" has seen Young stand out in a crowded market. His music for Kindisch, Warung, and his own Frequenza Records has seen the Italian produce highly original melodic, deep, and progressive house with a sprinkling of techno. Joining forces with Talal, the London based producer has been a key figure at events including Robot Hearts, Cream Amnesia Ibiza, and Amsterdam Dance Event. Music signed to the likes of Dear Deer, Natura Viva, and Colore have subsequently seen over a century of credits supported by Maceo Plex and Solomun.

'One year after their first release on Family Piknik Music ('The Ancient One’), French duo ABSTRAAL is back with a massive dancefloor weapon. 'Broken Smiles’ is a team work with famous german pair TEENAGE MUTANTS (Stil vor Talent, Terminal M...) and French songwriter / singer JIM (known for his vocal collaborations with LKF Project released on Bog & Agoria’s labels).

Abstraal has grown a lot these past months through many collaborations, releases and remixes. Building a solid profile, the boys have caught the attention of many playlist diggers, labels and A-list DJs. Hot from their recent remix for Outcome and their strong collaboration with Pontias on Jannowitz Records, Abstraal is now ready to deliver his strongest release to date.

Broken Smiles’s original version is a modern crossover Dance anthem with a minimal approach, sparkling synths and a dark atmosphere turning into an epic odyssey after the break. Vocals are perfectly dived into this moody instrumental, while trancy synths progressively add a bit of tension. Teenage Mutants own rework offer a totally different energy, somewhere between Detroit Techno and Chicago House, with an addictive old-school organ hook as key element. 5 stars remix is delivered by French techno master Popof. Form music label boss and experimented producer-remixer (from Hot Chip & Chemical Brothers to Umek, Julian Jeweil, Robert Babicz and many others) showcases his best Acid influences with a driving techno treatment and a mind-blowing atmosphere during the break. Tension is absolutely mad and these synth notes will have many ravers losing their mind for sure. Here’s an other monster remix from this living legend ! Justin Cholewski is also part of this massive release. After his brillant remix for Patrick Topping & Kevin Saunderson (Armada), Lithuanian producer drops a fat kick before playing with dramatic synths and developing a wild and rolling acid-techno monster.

The EP ends with an alternative version produced by JIM himself. French singer offers an alternative indie- dance rework he has produced as part of Wet Sunset, one of his latest musical projects. Very different from the other remixes, this version takes us on a musical road-trip, full of surprises. An oriental flute answers to some raw synths and post-disco drums, balancing with the vocal elements from the original cut.'

With a strong vocal theme the track 'Let It Go' leads the A-side of the EP. An infectious rolling bassline sets the mood for all the atmospheres that surround it, with hypnotic melodies and well
defined ambiences putting its listeners in a total state of inner trance.

On the B side of this EP Space Motion And Stylo bring something new with children's voices in track 'Heaven'. A powerful and groovy bass line brings the cadence while the super elaborate fx and
drum work defines this track into a one of kind.
